Offroad Lightbar Installation at Service Center Tomorrow (Update: Delayed Due to Wrong Part)

I hope there’s the option to link the lightbar to replace the flash brights button, but still allowing auto brights. If the brights are on another press will turn on lightbar. Then cycle back down, click one lightbar off, click again, brights off.

My local Tesla service center (Knoxville TN) is installing their first ever light bar tomorrow.....on my Beast. I'll check back in tomorrow afternoon with pictures and details. They've told me they will do the full install but there is one step they are not allowed to do and informed me I will be responsible for doing that. I'll give more details tomorrow but I suspect it's simply hooking up the power supply on the roof power source.

Fairly certain there's a black tape strip on the front that you need to peel off after installed.

I think so yes, unless a software update accompanies the install.

Seeing as how they price two roof rails @ $800, and that the LB has to be installed by Tesla, I'm guessing $1,500 to $2,000, haha!!

There might be an aftermarket solution like the "S3XY Buttons" that can toggle it. If they were not so large I would order them myself. Also I am not sure if they work for the CT at all yet. Same story with the buttons you can put under your screen

Steering wheel button press followed by, "turn on lightbar."

Looks like control will be in the Offroad mode / app.

Hopefully they actually let us do that, and control via the headlight button on the steering wheel. That would be ideal!

No, I asked to set up install when i picked up my Beast 3 weeks ago.

I have to say WTF?? For those of us who picked up beasts months ago, got the letter back in July about light bars and wheel covers coming and then we hear nothing further. I have a service appointment set up for Oct 1st and now I'm going to ask my advisor for it!
