We're preparing for our annual migration to Arizona for the winter, an 1850 mile trip. There's a lot of camping gear that we take back and forth. Except for bedding and personal things, the cabin is kept free so that we can fully recline the front seats for sleeping. Minimalists will be shocked at what we take on our adventure trips, but the days of primitive camping are long gone for us. I really love having the 55 cu ft of dry, secure cargo space that Cybertruck provides.

Tesla Cybertruck It's Amazing How Much Stuff Will Fit in the Vault Bed Loaded Vault

Here's what's in the vault (large items to small);

1) Westinghouse iGen4500 DF generator
2) Cybertruck spare tire (avoiding putting on top)
3) 55 quart refrigerator
4) 10' x 10' Crown Shades canopy, hold down weights, and side panels
5) Cabella's Camp Kitchen
6) BougeRV 2800 BTU air conditioner and ducting
7) Two folding lawn chairs
8) Round Starlink Antenna
9) 3 gallon water container
10) Coleman stove and 20 gal propane tank
11) Set of two traction boards
12) One large and one small bin of cooking/etc supplies
13) Wolfwise privacy tent and Ann Katy portable toilet
14) Folding step ladder
15) Air compressor and hydraulic jack
16) Tarps/ropes/stakes

I was hoping to get FSD before making the trip. With FSD we can complete the journey in two days, but without, two sleep stops are needed due to driving fatigue. It looks like this is going to be a three day trip. We always needed three days to make the trip when driving an ICEV (even with those amazing 10 minute gas station stops). ;) It never made sense to me to pay $100+ to stop at a motel for 8 hours, so we'll stop overnight at either rest stops or Walmart Supercenters that allow overnight parking. Bon voyage.

Thanks for sharing! I’m always amazed by how much stuff can fit in the bed as well.

Are you using the generator to charge the vehicle or just run your camp stuff?

I use it to augment the CT's charge when off road and too far from a charging station to avoid depleting the battery. One pound of propane will deliver 1 kWh of energy to the battery in 20 minutes. Gasoline works too, and is generally more available, but not so good at higher altitudes.

my lifestyle is minimalist like Tesla interior-if Cybertruck bed is shorter by 1 foot I'd gladly order one instantly-neither car nor truck person but definitely want Cybertruck-except the size.

Wow, that's practically an apartment back there. So many people don't understand that there's a tonneau cover over a huge bed in the back, I keep hearing people say I could never get the Cybertruck because there's nowhere to put anything and it's not practical, ignorant lost souls ?‍♂?‍♂.

The Cybertruck drives like a *much* smaller vehicle due to the steer-by-wire and four wheel steering.

It also has the parking stress of a smaller vehicle due to body panels that don't get door dings.

Of course if you have a small garage it might have to live outside like mine does. But it handles that gracefully too.

Indeed. About half the people I have shown my truck to were surprised that there was a truck bed under the tonneau. I guess they thought it was a hatchback or van.

Despite the size it really does feel like a smaller vehicle driving. Just yesterday, we were waiting in a long queue for parking for a show when we noticed a spot open on the street going the opposite direction. Was able to pull out of queue, U-turn and snag the spot while the other drivers were still debating. 4WS is awesome. Also, for daily use I keep the bed divider close to the tailgate so it acts more like a trunk. I can just throw stuff back there without it sliding all over the place and only move the divider out of the way when I need the full space.

Every Tom, Dick and Harriette Jump Suit Jett is going 'Camp Stuff'
Can we all simply get things out in the open!

Have you driven the Cybertruck? For such a large vehicle it really doesn't drive like one. It rides and maneuvers like a car, but performs like a truck when you need it to.

'am a long term T$LA investor, early Cybertruck reservation holder-I watched & read all about Cybertruck-amazed about SbW, ethernet, 48v architect, etc. Owned both M3 & MY-hopefully, Tesla will come out with midsize CT.

Will the vault divider fit if using a bed liner?
