This is very helpful. Thank you.
I know GEICO is cheap INS, but has Tesla Offered any policies in NY State ? Any reasons given to policy holders ?I just saw an article stating GEICO is pulling their coverage of Cybertrucks. I have GEICO and have not been notified myself as of right now. Has anyone else encountered this?
Here's the link to the article:

All trucks are commercial vehicles in California, doesn't matter the size. It comes with the truck numbering scheme.I'm doing some reading into this, @igs may be onto something.
Those of you in NY who have title for the Cybertruck, is your vehicle registered as a "commercial" or "personal" vehicle with the DMV? It looks like California is automatically registering it as a commercial vehicle.
This may explain why some underwriters at Geico are realizing this and cancelling the insurance policy.
Maybe for a few of you. They renewed our policy less than a month ago.I understand, but please read the rest of the thread. This is real issue that's happening.
Fake news.Weird that it is so random. I just renewed and paid in full for 6 months a couple weeks ago in NY ?‍![]()
No, it's a fake narrative.I understand, but please read the rest of the thread. This is real issue that's happening.
It's fake. Read the thread title, it says Geico is cancelling ALL Cybertruck insurance policies. Not only are they not doing that, they are still issuing new Cybertruck insurance policies. In Tx and Geico sent letter to me in June saying it’s restricted and wouldn’t renew. I had 4 other cars on there, only Cybertruck not eligible to renew others fine, no accidents, late 40’s, been with them 20yrs I think. I decided to move all cars to State Farm and they insured it…heck overall SF saved me $250 a month ($800 for all cars on full coverage w/Gieco, $550 on SF). Definitely not fake news.
Good catch and glad you pointed it out! Let me fix my original reply. It's fake. Read the thread title, it says Geico is cancelling ALL Cybertruck insurance policies. Not only are they not doing that, they are still issuing new Cybertruck insurance policies.
