Great idea to use voice. I forget about this feature. Older versions weren't too good so I stopped using it .
How old are you talking?

I've been seriously impressed with the voice recognition since we got our first Tesla Model 3 nearly 7 years ago. The only time it's useless if we are out of cellular range. Other than that, voice recognition is quick and accurate. The only real downside is that no one else should be talking while you enter a voice command. My wife has a habit of speaking right after I push the button.

My last attempt was with my 2018 model 3. It's been years. I need to find a list of voice commands. I do use voice commands for other devices all the time.

It’s pretty robust and intuitive. Just say something that makes sense and it probably will do it. If it can’t it will tell you.

The one that annoys me the most is when Youtubers complain about how you have to go into the menu to open the glove box no you don’t.

Just push the button and say ā€œopen glove box.ā€ Works on every single model.

It amazes me that people who hold themselves out as professionals don’t know this.

It recognizes my voice just fine, it just never does what I want it to do. Most of the time it responds with ā€œGus, wtf are you talking aboutā€

Come to think of it, I get that at home a lot, too

Don’t get me wrong… the speed limit mode is a great idea, but I steadfastly refuse to restrict a beast to 85mph and chill acceleration.

Beasts have rights which I will not infringe on.

I think this is a clever solution, but it’s just as easy for me to remember to turn off FSD off before I punch it if I’m in a situation where I want/need to.

I’ve been on FSD on many vehicles for 4+ years and I’ve only ever had 3 total strikes so I don’t personally see it as a big problem.
Makes sense! I've gotta get better at this! First Tesla, were good at what we practice :)
