The only outlets I have found on the truck are the ones in the bed 2 120v and a single 240v with 2 more 120v outlets inside on the center counsel
one for the rear of the cab and the other one inside the center counsel for the front of the cab. and that's it!
Yet the GUI shows power locations in 3 other places but i don't see any outlets there.
1) passenger door ?
2) the roof ?
3) in the frunk ?
Does anyone know what they are referring to in these locations?
is there a hidden outlet ?

Number 2 is for the lightbar, number 3 is for accessories, and I've never heard of number 1, but I wouldn't know.

So I made a new gate for the house and moved it back a bit to make more room for the cybertruck and another car, I'm almost done with it. and have been using power tools connected to my truck, even used my small 100 Lincoln 120v mig welder with flux core wire no gas. and it worked just like expected. today my gardeners show up. And I don't like the stupid leaf blowers they use and they show up and waste no time. so I needed to quickly move the tuck out the drive way so it don't get all dusty. I run out get in it and decide I'll go to the market, I drive away and I didn't notice I had an extension cord still attached to the bed outlet. I thought this would be detected and at least give you a warning. nothing happens good thing the market is very close because I dragged the cord all the way there. someone passing by me pointed it out to me. Now I know you can't drive away if the charging cord is plugged in. But not with the outlets?

It warns you if the outlet cover is open, it warns you if the tailgate is down.

I have things plugged into my outlets when driving, there's no need for an extra warning for that.

When you say “it worked as expected” was that good or bad? I have a SP140 running off 110 and wondered how it would run off the truck. I saw a few videos but some said it was no good however they were running off a 25/50 extension cord and the welder needs every amp
It can get

Yeah, I mean I didn't notice any loss in the welder's capability running straight from the truck with no extension cord. had the power setting all the way up. my welder has 4 settings A, B, C, and D. I was on D, and I got nice beads good penetration as expected with a flux core wire along with the usual amount of splatter that you get with flux core wire. I only did about 1-inch-long tack welds every 6-8 inches with the truck power along the vertical members on each side of the wood a totol of around 48 welds 1 inch long each. no problem.

I often have a fridge/freezer plugged into my 110v bed outlet. I sure appreciate that it doesn’t shut down when I drive.
I never said that it should (power off) I only said that you should get some kind of notification or reminder before allowing you to move. That you have something plugged in. probably in most cases whatever is plugged in wont be inside the truck. I can see how it can be something that's easily forgotten and probably going to be a common occurrence among cybertruck owners for anyone who does use the outlet to power something off the truck.

CyberGussaid:
This kind of thing never happened before EVs.

exactly!
but it's a little harder to forget you're at a gas station and just filled up like 3 seconds ago with the pump right next to you and the unmistakable smell of napalm(gasoline) in the morning unless your memory is that of a goldfish. (goldfish have 3 sec max.) But I have personally witnessed this very thing except it was a police black and white driving down the road unaware what they had done. good thing we have quick release and automatic shut off valves on those fuel lines. I'm sure it took some deadly cases before those were implemented. you can't always count on humans to do the right thing. You can trust robots. they do what you tell them and never forget. so why not? why wait for a deadly case to happen before fixing with a simple reminder.

IMO your last two sentences in your original post implied it.

It warns you if the outlet cover is open, it warns you if the tailgate is down.

I have things plugged into my outlets when driving, there's no need for an extra warning for that.
I think this would be the most correct UX design:

on first occurrence, have a high vis pop-up that you have to acknowledge to proceed, but give us an option in the menu to toggle the warning on/off.

I charge my e-moto while driving down the road, so there are definitely some great use cases.
