The Cybertruck doesn't have 12V DC for most inflators so we are forced to look at 120V options. Also, the tires are massive and will overheat a standard portable compressor. Also #2....many people like to go off-road and deflate their tires so you need a good pump to bring them back up to highway pressure.

The Harbor Freight pump I recommend is literally $50 on sale plus maybe $15 extra for a hose and chuck. That's not much more expensive than some run of the mill 12V inflators people buy.

Not true. Plenty of people have been using 12V inflators that plug into the 12V trailer harness.

Agree with the ease of a 120V inflator...but this works also as a simple solution to myriad of 12V accessories.

I've seen a number of Cybertruck owners saying they were doing exactly that.

@mongo can tell you how many amps it is, I think he said at least 30 amps.

Oh please, there is nothing "bodged together" about using the trailer outlet to power an inflator. In fact, you can even buy inflators with the appropriate trailer outlet plug already wired to the inflator.

Personally, I recommend using the 120V outlets for inflating tires, but it is incorrect to say there is not 12V available directly from the Cybertruck.

I've seen more than one person say they did this, I don't think @mongo was one of them. Give it up, this is going nowhere. You were wrong, if you don't want to admit it, that's fine with me, just drop it.

I haven't done it myself, but did verify voltage and referenced current from the manual.
Like you called out, trailer to 12V socket is a commonly available accessory.

i wasn’t having a lot of luck with my little hand held battery operated tire inflator. Took for ever. This may be over kill but it works great and not that expensive. The 120 volt air compressor was only $112 and 50’ of hose and hand held inflator another $30. Compressor is quite. Fits neatly into the trunk. If the stainless starts to rust I can always spray paint the Cybertruck.?
