My son asked me once, about 10 years ago, after seeing the latest Star Wars movie "Do you think they'll make another one?" I laughed. They make 250 million a pop or so. So why wouldn't they make another? Do you want to make another 250 mil? Well do ya, punk?
Let's just say, it stands to reason they keep going down this road. More Cyber materials, please! Keep bringing the chromium, guys, between Starship and Cybertrucks/cars/vans/flatbeds, they're going to need it all.

I think Tesla will make more first principals experiments.

Whether they will look "Cyber" or not remains to be seen.

Over 1 million in preorders might signal a successful experiment. Probably not the only experiment they will do. But as successful as this one seems to be, there will probably be other iterations on the theme.

I just can't see Tesla making another vehicle similar to the Cybertruck to take advantage of that. If another "Cyber" vehicle (Triangle/ exoskeleton/ stainless) makes sense from an engineering perspective... sure. Heck... doing a mega-SUV using nearly the same body as the Cybertruck seems like an easy deal. Get rid of the mid-gate and put in a third removable row of seats. But a lot of other ideas floating around seem like a huge stretch.

The Cybertruck looks the way it looks so they could manufacture it cheaply. If something else looks similar but is expensive to produce, it no longer makes sense.

Oh certainly. They won’t make an iteration just for iterations sake.

But Elon did mention that he didn’t know if the CT look would even sell. I think that question has been answered. The production cost analysis is ongoing I’m sure but assuming it’s also successful, I could certainly see some related iterations coming. Like, delivery truck, mini van, SUV, etc. perhaps even a smaller pickup with fewer features.

But yes, there are some nonsensical designs being thrown around the nets. People are still thinking old school off of the new CT design that arose from totally new thinking. Old and new thoughts in this case are pretty incompatible.

Here is just a few concepts. I'm sure there could be additional Cyber models.
