Different strokes for different folks I guess…
Outlawing?? we better outlaw on motorcycles and anything else that can get us in trouble

My truck does 0 to 60 in 3.7-3.9 seconds and it’s one of the funnest vehicles I’ve ever owned.

I cannot wait to experience a sub three second cybertruck ?
I bought the SR+3 instead of the P3 because I couldn't justify the extra money, just for the faster 0-60. But MAN I've had more moments of regret since then than I care to admit.

That's why I'm delighted that my Tri-motor (quad!) CyberTruck order is justified by the range I'll need when towing my retirement RV. The fact that the CyberTruck capable of towing 14k lbs, just HAPPENS to have a <3 second 0-60 often makes me giggle to myself. ?

You are goign to have to fill us in on what that 0-60 time is when towing a 14,000 pound trailer.

Just did a 1200 mile trip in the Model Y, I’m curious how you can get 2.5 hours of delay.

Most of our stops we’re 20 minutes or less. Basically time to use the bathroom, and grab some lunch. This was mostly in California on a holiday weekend.
Summer time, A/C the entire time, elevation changes.

We recently road tripped from WV to AR (two day trip) and one day noticed another distinctive vehicle that we passed/got passed by throughout the day, from early in the trip to well after dinner time.

This tells me that our charging stops were, on average, during the day, about the same total stop time as an ICE vehicle on a road trip. Most of the time we're charging, we're handling the "necessary" tasks that other travelers would be doing after they're finished at the gas pump. Food, bathroom, pets, shopping at service station souvenir shops, etc. Unless you're a Road Trip Warrior, rushing every fuel stop to the absolute minimum, you might find that the "2 1/2 hours extra" will be shortened by the time you would have paused in a gas powered vehicle.

Full disclosure caveat: The thing that made this car "distinctive" was a child's bike on the hitch, decorated with flowers and pinwheels. ? I don't know from experience, but I've heard that traveling with kids slows you down more than adults only roadtrips might. ??

You can do road trips in an ICE vehicle faster, but it’s often not very pleasant.

If you have a 20 minute stop at an EV charger, it’s natural to walk across the street and get In and Out or coffee while you wait. On a fuel stop, you are more or less stuck waiting for the fill up. So it’s 10-30 minutes of idle time versus 5-10 minutes of mundane tasks.

Also, this may be good or bad depending on perspective, but since speed doesn’t usually affect my stop times and only marginally affects cost, I drive faster in my Tesla and cover ground quicker. Unless driving slower eliminates a stop entirely.

There have been many days where the value of the bikes on my car has exceeded the value of the car. Usually not a single bike though, but some of my friends.
There have been days where I doubled the value of my car by filling up the tank

Towing. Plaid, Quad, Granny low, I don't care about speed (as much). I'm all about the Hrsprs. Some of us will be using the CT as an actual work rig and prefer tow capacity over drag racing. Hopefully the tow rating will increase as well as acceleration? Can't decide on the name. Heart of Gold (HOG), Bistromath. I like Krikkit One. Anyone else have plates reserved?

A bit late in the game here, but if I may say, to me, my thought process is it's justifiable to buy the nicest/longest-lasting truck (million+ mile battery) money can buy and never replace it in your lifetime.
