In the last couple frames of the video, the woman working on it is looking right at the drone and pulls out her phone… “Security…”
She is a ninja emerging from the CT’s shadow.

To help give the Cybertruck some off-road credence and test it’s durability to the extreme Tesla should enter a pre-production CT in the Baja 500 this June. Elon stated he wanted to kick butt in Baja. Elon, here is your chance!

At least a some kind of anti-aircraft defence

................

Seems related to the doors, frunk, and trunk. Maybe they're working on the auto-opening functions?
By Jove you might be right !

Does that indicate a side sail ?

Looks like they did a side impact test to see if it would roll over! The only damage is the left rear 1/4 panel and the rocker panel under the rear door. Maybe the tailgate fell off and was duck tapped back on. I wonder if they used the white Tesla X to do the test (blown rear airbag?). Notice no damage to top....no roll over. Who ever is number one on the waiting list might be able to purchase it for a great discount!

No wiper on this one. It never rains in California....
We had 4 inches in one day on two separate occasions this year. What kind of rainfall in one day did you experience this year? I am sure they took that piece of crap off the test vehicle because they are working on one that might actually work in the rain or snow.

That dash photo shows that they have a whole bunch of equipment sitting on a pad, maybe a sticky pad so they don't slide around, one of which looks like it might be a behind-the-wheel display. Temporary for testing or more long lasting? Who knows!

Can’t believe how close this drone got, it was clear the people working on the truck saw it.

Tesla tolerates drones, but I wonder if this was a bit OTT.
This clearly looks to me like it collided with the 3

Yeah she is, the first loop around I didn’t see her, then **Poof** all business busting out the phone. I think she‘s in charge, the other dudes were like “Hey, what should we do about this drone”, and she’s like “Ima call Security”.

At least a some kind of anti-aircraft defence
Next time she’ll have one of those shooting net anti-drone things in the back seat.

You can see her wave “bye” to the drone at the last minute (lower left corner) before going out of view. Good job courageous drone pilot!

I’d prefer the drone pilots kept a reasonable distance.

So long as they are keeping their distance, Tesla keeps doing this stuff out in the open. If there are drones buzzing them, they bust out the tent or do this stuff indoors (or have their security guys chase down the drone operator).

Just think how excited you’d be about this crap happening in your backyard.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but someone suggested elsewhere the blue lines might be keyless entry locations. So they can test bluetooth keys while standing in various places near the truck.

Also… in some videos and stills the truck looks odd, but in this video it looks stunning. Like a something you’d have seen at a supercar exhibit.

Seems like it lives in Fremont and the Texas trip was just a visit.
