Are you sure? I just put it for charging and changed the limit to 100%. It takes 11 hours to charge at 48A.

Are you saying 11 hrs because 50-100% is 5.5 hrs? If so, you are a lost little puppy and I don’t feel like explaining why right now.

I don't know how you do math, but it doesn't seem to be how I was taught to do math.

Would more power be better? Sure.

Is it common enough in usage for Tesla to do it? Maybe not.

not a chance in hell are they going to offer free super charging to all CT's bought before this offer. I wish I could sell mine and get a new one but the loss would make it pointless. oh well still love the truck and if i win the BIG lottery I am buying all my relatives FS CT's. and me.

I had been hoping Tesla would offer something to foundation customers after the fact as a good will gesture. This is their perfect opportunity for that.
they did. you got new sail panel appliqués and new wiper motors

They could offer 5 years FSC and that would be something instead of just getting nothing or something that we already have.

I’m definitely humble enough to say I’m a newbie to EV ownership. All I know is the charging curve is different with slow trickle charging at home, which is what I shared above. Super charging beyond 80% takes forever and nobody does that, but slow charging cycles are different and the time predicted by Tesla for home charging is accurate, and people charge to 100% at home right before a long road trip, at least that’s what I have been told. Nobody charges to 100% all the time. I don’t even understand why it’s so important to charge the truck to 100% in less than 12 hours everyday at 48A. Looks like that’s the topic of contention here!

Please do educate others instead of calling names. We are here to learn from fellow owners.

Wow. FS should have come with lifetime supercharging from the beginning. If this doesn’t go to all of us it’s ridiculous.
I wouldn’t say it’s ridiculous since, based on what I’m seeing here, they don’t get the $2.5K voucher. However, I agree that we should have the option to void our voucher or payback the voucher amount in exchange for the lifetime supercharging. I still haven’t used my voucher funds yet and would gladly trade them for lifetime supercharging which would save me $8K per year.

1. 8k per year is a ton of SC.
2. They won't give everyone free SC. It's not how Tesla has ever operated. Imagine if everyone could go back and get promos at the EOY/Q after they purchased, it would kill Tesla financially. They do this to move vehicles, you and others with them have already done that.

How can we start a petition? I have never tweeted before. But the more I think about it just really does not settle well. When I first purchased my Model X in 2019 it did not come with free supercharging then like a week after I purchased it they came out with free supercharging promotion. I called Tesla and they actually gave me the free supercharging promotion. So it can be done. I purchased my foundation late so I'm pretty upset.
Can you even call Tesla these days? If so, how can we do this (i.e. what number)?

But it is how they treated early model s adopters. I can think of no good reason why early CT adopters shouldn’t have something beyond all the pains of being an early adopter. (even considering all of the extra little trinkets we got).

Under no circumstances do I think that this is something that can be demanded or is an entitlement. I just think it would be nice and it would be consistent with the way Tesla used to do business.

The $8K is the hit I’m taking on home charging. I commute to work.

That's wild. Electricity, where I live in South Carolina, is .05 Kw/h off peak. I would be surprised if I spent $1,500 on electricity on both my Teslas.

I don't know that Tesla really has ever done business like that. The Free Supercharging was offered from the beginning to get EV adoption. They didn't provide it for free to later MS or MS that didn't get the upgraded charger.

It's unrealistic to even hope they provide this to all FS trucks.

You can buy a S right now and get free supercharging. I am just saying to offer such a premium for free and stuff the first supporters of the CT is ridiculous. Give them cargo boxes and a set Molle racks. We are getting kicked in the *alls and then rammed in the *zz. I’ll give back the $2500 voucher money because I had to purchase items I didn’t need. Make it right Elon!
