Deeper Dive…

Just reviewing the warranty information
https://digitalassets.tesla.com/tes...rtruck-new-vehicle-limited-warranty-en-us.pdf

But I may not be reading this correctly…
Seems like there is some additional warranty coverage in 2026 (ā€œZEV LIMITED WARRANTIESā€) that are required by law (ā€œMinimum Warranty Coverage set by regulationā€)
Not always better than basic coverage
But apparently does not limit coverage where Tesla is already providing better coverage.
And this is where the 7 year 70,000 mile coverage for high-price propulsion related parts is specified.
And references this link:

I have had my new truck for a couple of weeks now. Decided to go for it after I checked on a trade in value and was surprised to see a number <10% less than what I paid new, 16 months ago (at a point when they had really great incentives). I had a late 24 with most of the teething issues worked out, but nevertheless I was curious about all the little improvements as they constantly iterate. The only repair I had done on my 24 was front seat replacement due to squeaking. It was a great truck and I enjoyed my time with it.

As to the new one, I am very impressed. The truck is noticeably quieter and smoother. Feels tighter in general. Less wind noise from the windshield region at highway speed. No issues with window seals leaking yet. The dentist drill noise from the front drive unit at slow speeds has been totally solved. Zero squeaks. Zero rattles. I never really thought my door panels had any resonance to them, but the new ones have zero and made it apparent I did actually have some on the 24. The new dry cathode pack does appear to have a bit more capacity, Tessie showed almost 127 kWh. Supposedly there will be less degradation with the dry cathode as well. We will see.

The only obvious downgrade that I have noticed so far is the super crappy/basic looking brake and throttle pedal set.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with the update. It’s honestly more apparent than I expected it to be šŸ‘

Happy for you and your new purchase… I absolutely love my August 2024 CyberBeast, and will never trade it in… and it’s been absolute dream

Happy for you and your trade-in experience. I myself absolutely love my 2024 August cyber beast, and I will have it for life. It’s been seemingly flawless… keeping it for life!

Appreciate the feedback, I am glad I waited. I still love my S so no rush here. It still boggles my mind that folks are asking $70-80K for used 2024’s And apparently some folks are paying it.

I’ll never give it up. Trade values are crazy rn, only thing holding me back is fsd transfer.
Same here. losing free FSD forever really makes it a deal breaker… but I’m also worried about my PCS which hasn’t failed but I’m at 30k miles and if it goes after warranty it would cost me more than the FSD subscription over the next few 7 years. Really tempted to trade in for a fresh truck, new battery pack, better safety, new warranty…

Sounds like you have a Beast…? Early Beasts were notorious for being very rough over bumps under throttle (I’ve experienced this with Beast loaners in my neighborhood roads,). I also noticed the Pirelli AS tires are also harsher riding on my AWD than the Goodyear ATs.
Sounds similar to my April 2024 Beast.

Any chance Tesla has added a dedicated Sirius SXM radio antenna to the new trucks?

My 24' AWD Foundation literally had none of the issues, I'm wondering if you got the infamous B squad build from the DEI farm.

I am finally taking my 2024 CB (37xxx) to get the light bar installed tomorrow. There are a couple of other things they want to do while it is in the shop. Some bolt replacements in the front end and the cant rail. I have two air damns (left rear and right front) that need replacement, one was damaged by a curve and another by road debris. I would seriously consider a new Cybertruck but only if I could transfer my lifetime FSD and connectivity.

The FSD conundrum is an issue I didn’t have to deal with, and certainly adds to the calculus especially for the FS owners. I bought my CT simply because it’s so much fun to drive (I have owned all the ICE super trucks and nothing drives as well as the CT IMO). For one reason or another, my previous truck had FSD enabled the entire 16 months that I owned it without an active subscription on my end. I barely used it. Mostly just to check out some improvements from time to time and that was it. The technology is amazing, but in its current form it isn’t for me. I will be interested in it when I can do whatever I want or nap during the drive. I know it will get there, but I’m betting it takes AI5.

My total out of pocket was about 9k, well worth it IMO.

Anyone have free SC transfer in addition to FSD? That has saved me over $8k already, never having to pay to charge, minus a few dollars in idle fees from sleeping.
I did get a loaner CB one time and noticed the suspension did better at absorbing bumps over train tracks and bad pavement. Supposedly the Bilstein shocks are different.

Is there a list with confirmed part changes?

PCS rev G
Front motor rev X?
Bilstein Shocks PN?
Darker sunroof with metal flakes
We have Bilstein shocks?

I did exactly the same- traded my Dec 2024 AWD for a March 2026 AWD. Same positive thoughts, it’s tighter and nicer, with a couple additions:
1. NEG: you are spot on- Brake accelerator pedals suck- maybe someone will make a really cool after market replacement pad or cover set
2. NEG: wiper is not as good cleaning- I’ll take it in soon
3. HUGE POSITIVE: my 2026 came pre-loaded with FSD13. HALLELUJAH! No more FSD14 stupid speed profiles- I can set a precise max speed again. MUCH MORE relaxing. I will not update until I can get driver control of max speed back (which may be never if the autonomy influencer crowd has its way). But for now I have a stable, safe, usable driver assist system again. HAZZAH!

Good luck with that. Some software updates are automatic, mandatory, and will come whether connected to wifi or not.
