Hello Guys...

So lately Ive been taking care of some rattles on my Cybertruck, only one remaining is a very prominent one, its a rattle inside the dash pad (verified many times), If I press on it dissapears, and if you hit it with your fingers firmly it will rattle right at the circled spot.

Any ideas how to fix it? all CT's that Ive driven has it.

Thanks!

Only real issue I’ve had with my CT was rattles and creaks. From the center console to the dash to drivers seat to a few others. Was a problem with the early ones… the SC fixed them all at no cost, but it took a few visits.

I know not very helpful for your fix, but wanted to commiserate… hopefully you ca sort it out. My dash was a broken clip that was clearly busted on initial installation

I'll also add in that mine has no rattles. Well, if my wife leaves her sunglasses in the little door shelf, they rattle. But the truck does not. Lucky me, right?

OP, I'll be curious to see what you have that is rattling. Maybe just pull the dash up and look?

EDIT: I DID have a rattle. the steering "column" cover rattled. I put a foamy ear protector in there and it stopped the rattle.

The disassembly process of the dashpad per Tesla is extremely extensive, only looking to fix the side where there is ni airbag, hoping someone has done this before….

For those who say they don’t have it, tap the area and report back!

if you hit it with your fingers firmly it will rattle right at the circled spot.
That is the location of the Airwave Module:

I'm guessing that any noise is coming from the module itself, which has multiple moving parts.

If you peer into the vent, you can see the louvers move when you adjust the airflow direction. But accessing the module requires significant disassembly.

Mine will sometimes get stuck, which is remedied by a solid whack on the spot you've identified. (Yes, I did open a ticket, and of course it worked perfectly while at the service center, sigh.)

I could see how that would be irritating on the right road! I hope you get a good answer

That appears to be it… wondering if pulling on one side would work to access…

I guess I got one of the few that doesn’t have ANY rattles or squeaks! I had a CT loaner once and was surprised how many rattles it had! These trucks don’t have to rattle! Oh, when I was removing my front fascia (to powder coat my tow hooks/calipers) a few of the 10mm bolts were totally loose (and potentially rattling). I snugged them to spec when reinstalling! 😉

In Service Mode, I have multiple alerts about those modules being out of calibration. SC said it was normal (they do adjust and move just fine).

Right, mine move sometimes, but sometimes they get stuck and just go ClickClickClickClick. Fortunately I pretty much set it and forget it. 🤷‍♂️

Had the same issue on my 26 AWD. Service center replaced both airwave modules to resolve it. The process is rather extensive to do it and they damaged a few things which required a second visit.
