The solution is to direct power it by tapping center console power eliminating Hansshow's adapter. TeslaKen has the process on YouTube and on his website. I don't have the mirror yet but it has been ordered and plan to use that method to wire it.

I finally installed the mirror and used the 12V direct wiring mod, bypassing the supplied harness to avoid any audio issues. Instead of the fuse box (I don't really have or need other accessories that require 12V power) I used some DC barrel plugs, male and female, with screw down cable terminal attachments for the bare wire (https://a.co/d/07aArXjS). I wrapped the entire connector in electrical tape before tucking it back in near the right foot well. Real happy with the result. Thanks Ken!

Hansshow said they would refund me my money within 3-5 business days… 7 go by and I reach out. Now they won’t even reply… highly don’t recommend anyone buying from them.

I bought the mirror, screen swivel, and front under seat storage bins without issue. If anything, got TOO many emails and confirmations about shipping. Received an immediate reply with tracking when I asked about one of the three items that lagged behind the others by a couple days. No complaints from me, and I can recommend them based on MY experience, though the lack of a reply to your issue is concerning.

Quick question on the 12V wire tapped with the Posi-Tap: do you know the actual wire gauge?

I’m trying to confirm whether that wire is only safe for powering the Hansshow mirror directly, or whether it has enough capacity to feed a small fuse block for additional low-current accessories.

My concern is that if the wire is around 22 AWG, it may only be good for roughly 1–2A max.

I would have to look up the wiring diagram to see if the gauge is listed. I have a couple of other lower power accessories running off of it without issue.

I bought it then returned it before installing when I learned of the audio issues with the factory harness…I was not willing to tamper with the Tesla wiring as they will deny warranty work at the drop of a hat regarding 3rd party electrical mods. Getting my money back was like pulling teeth and involved Many emails and much frustration along with me having to pay for shipping it back which they said they would reimburse and never did. F that company, they’ll never see another dime of my money and I highly suggest not buying from them as any product issues will basically be ignored as far as I can tell.

I was planning to install the latest version of this mirror on my new CT on order. After going through these posting, it seems the latest version has issues where it kills some of the speakers in front. few questions:
--- The issue has not been resolved with supplied hardness? 2.0 V2/V3?
--- It does not dim automatically at night
--- Cannot turn off the clock (minor issue in my opinion)?
--- The rear camera wire may cause a leak?

No the issue with the wiring harness and the speakers has not been resolved to date and @Hansshow Technology customer service is horrendous, I have been contacting them for over 6 months now, the only time I even get a response to my emails is when I mail bomb them, I reply once or twice, don't get any answer, so I send the same email 10x to flood their inbox, then they'll respond.

The mirror does not auto-dim, it has a manual slider to dim it.

I am not aware of a way to turn the clock off, although this doesn't bother me much so I haven't put great effort into it.

Yes, the wire for the rear camera causes water to leak into the tonneau (if you don't already have a leak) as it is routed under the trim piece it sits on. You can always drill a hole in it and mount it through the piece, but no way in hell im drilling holes in my truck for an aftermarket part.

Hope that helps.

I'm not surprised. They ship you a defective product right out of the box and expect you to pay shipping to return it - nice. They wanted me to order parts on Amazon at my expense to fix their defect, can you imagine another company telling you we included a shitty power supply with our unit, order a better one and it'll fix the product we sold you. I never did because it won't fix the speaker issue.

I ran my wire in the gap of the trim piece and I haven't noticed any leaking yet.

Which gap did you run it in? Did you run it along the top or from under the trim?
Under the trim. Note I do have the cyber tent so I can easily remove the trim. Not sure if that matters.

Nice, did you silicone it or anything or do any extra work to it? Mine leaks exactly there where the cable passes under the trim. I've tried silicone but still no success.
