It’s all just teething pains of a new vehicle. I wouldn’t be concerned about the two items. Hell, I used to have a Honda Ridgeline and really never found the tim3 to take it in to my Honda dealer to have them fix minor recalls. This is the same. My windshield wiper has worked perfectly fine after many days of usage. My sailplane is still attached. If it works it works. I hope they deal with the people that definitely have broken parts.
I am definitely looking forward to having my sailplane taken off because I want to see underneath it. I was going to take it off anyway and I actually ordered extra clips from Tesla to use when putting it back together (The clips are prone to fall in the frame when you take it apart).

My Cyberbeast's VIN is included for both wiper motor and rear sail applique recalls. The wiper is acting goofy, it will wipe down but would stay in the horizontal position :cautious:

That's by design. If it is a light rain, it stays down to direct the water to the sides vs. back up the screen.

Only problem is it wasn't light rain and it wasn't doing that until a few days ago. Either way, my VIN is part of the wiper motor recall:p

I believe this is normal. The purpose is to let the water run off to the side instead of immediately rolling up the windshield. This only happens when rain is lighter for me, in a heavy downpour it constantly wipes

I guess it’s a service center visit for me… wiper has seemed fine but if it’s an issue I’ll let them replace it

Over 11k Cybertrucks have been recalled due to the wiper motor potentially having electrical overstress.

Tesla recalls thousands of Cybertrucks over windshield wiper, exterior trim issues

June 25, 2024

June 25 (Reuters) - Tesla is recalling 11,688 Cybertruck electric pickup trucks as a failure of the windshield wiper could reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said.

The EV maker also is recalling 11,383 units of the pickup truck as a trim in the trunk bed could have been improperly attached, potentially becoming loose and creating a road hazard for motorists behind, a separate notice from the NHTSA said.

"Excessive electrical current can cause the front windshield wiper motor controller to fail," the auto safety regulator said in a recall acknowledgement letter on Monday.
The company's service team will replace the wiper motor and apply an adhesion promoter and pressure sensitive tape or replace the missing trim free of charge for affected vehicles, the letters said.

My prayers are answered. after 4 sessions, 3 service centers, and posting my video on youtube in hopes to gain exposure to my issue, I hope this helped get us to this point to get this issue addressed.

heres my issue tesla... please review and include this in the recall solution

Mine does that too with a single click, when hold clicking the button on the steering wheel it does the triple wipe and returns to the correct position.

Does anyone have the answer to the question that has been asked a few times: How will Tesla be handling this recall? On a voluntary basis by contacting service? Or will they proactively reach out? Does anyone know? There does not appear to be a "recall" option in the app.
On previous recall issues for Teslas I have owned, I have experienced a variety of approaches. Mostly, when the vehicle has come in for service for another issue, outstanding recall items or service bulletin items have been fixed at the same time. Outside of that, I would picture a very slow, gradual rollout of notices to have service done either by mobile tech or in service center. That's pretty similar to how most manufacturers handle these. If an individual owner is more anxious about wiper failure or trim flying off, they could request a service request ASAP through the app.

Looking at the site the NTSA has put these under the AWD VIN but not the cyberbeast which is wrong the notices say all CT. But since they were already fixed yours may be unaffected.
I didn’t realize they were separate I ordered a Beast now I wonder if it need to be fixed

yes, it has always stayed down. the threshold is about 41mph. if you are above that, it parks the wiper down for 30-60 seconds after a single swipe, or permanently while the wiper is set to on. If you are below that, it doesn't stay down. The logic for the wiper parking down doesn't know if it's raining or not.
