I have similar results by using Foam Backer Rod in those cracks. 1/8" and 1/4". Depending on where you stuff it. No, I precut the length as not to have breaks in the foan rod and pressed it in with one of those orange plastic tools. I have noticed over time that it does not keep the bed totally dry. It helps! The last toughless car wash I visited got a good bit of water in the bed. I have also noticed with this fix it depends on how hard it rains and the angles of a hard blowing rain. It's strange though. Sometimes it makes it through a rain storm and a car wash dry as a bone and other times water find it's way in. But it never really floods.

Also, the wire powering my rearview mirror camera is not helping my case. I did introduce a spot of clean silicon where the camers wire tucks in.

I did the backer rod over the appliqué between the glass and it HELPS. But the sides that are exposed on that appliqué, water still goes in there. But it’s definitely reduced.
Tesla definitely needs to redesign that piece

Yea it seems like his silicone mess over the top may be the only option to keep the vault truly waterproof until Tesla finally addresses this.

Supposedly I’m hearing a new appliqué piece is coming.

I had some issues with gaskets on my S plaid and about 1-2 years later, they redesigned the mold and the new one fixed it up. Hoping for same here

Pretty much has to be, currently the "vault" is just a semi dry bed with a rolling cover. Which can be achieved in a 2008 tacoma or base gas F150 for about $600
For a vehicle of this price-point for a "VAULT" to get that wet is crazy.

I have a lightning and slapped a $200 Tri fold cover on it from Amazon and it’s always bone dry. Made me a little salty, but it’s apples to oranges obviously.

I did the backer rod thing and it’s improved but still not bone dry. Also put waterproofing weatherstripping over it. Still allowing water in (ever so slightly)

gross silicone bead may be only solution but at this point I’m probably fine with it until the release a new applique cover, might be only solution. Curious how this will hold with heavy snow?

Yea, the fact that about any cheap truck can have an amazon cover tossed on top and be waterproof but my 6 figure truck vault I can't put anything without putting it in a tote is not ideal

I got some adhesive foam that is normally used for hvac type stuff. Cut with scissors. Peel and stick. Matching matte black. Easy to fix if it gets mucked up.

My parents paid $800 for their Santa Cruz cover and drove through a monsoon without a drop of water in the bed. I wonder if T-Sportline or another third party will ever produce a working waterproof tonneau?

Wireless charger overheating is a free swap due to the first one cooking phones, considering how badly some vaults leak I would assume this would be fee as it corrects a manufacturing and design defect.
