The latest VIN reported in this thread is “508xx” by Caynoncarver and it’s a 2024 as well.

Depends on how many were built/delivered in late 2023 but yes it appears that they will have built over 50K units in 2024 for sure.

I know some want a 2025 VIN, but as I don't anticipate any real changes I'm not too concerned about it.
I was assigned a VIN today as well. Interestingly mine is 46,900. Maybe a reject?

I wouldn’t think it’s a reject! There is inventory moving all over the country (and Canada). I don’t know if anyone could accurately say but there’s likely thousands of Cybertrucks unsold. And as far as the inventory FS Cybertrucks-they could be leftovers OR new production that Tesla has decided to make available to see if they can capture any more premium buyers?

I just got 508XX assigned and it’s a 2024. Will share build date when I see it. I suspect it’s right around 11/14.

The BUILD DATE would be interesting to know. I’m gonna guess that a 508xx VIN was built in the 3 rd week of October-total guess!

How do you find out build date?

It’s on a giant sticker on the windshield when the car gets delivered. You have to get to it before they remove it. I believe the next best place is printed on the inside of the door, but it just has month/year, not day/mont/year.

In some cases, the Service Advisor will tell you if they know from their system. Beyond that, once you take delivery it’ll be on the sticker inside of the driver’s door.

If you know where your dealerships holding lot happens to be you can usually just walk around and check. I picked up my CT in early June, built a week after this one in the pic below.

Depending on where you are in the country it will take 2-6weeks to get the trucks from Texas to your local holding lot. In NJ, most were 3-4 weeks off the production line to the holding lot which seemed reasonable given the truck transport in Texas to the railyard, rail travel (sometimes there are delays with rail freight depending on what other cargo is moving at the time), truck travel again at the receiving end and then another burst of truck travel to reach the dealer holding lot. If you're closer to Texas or directly on a rail line to/from Texas you might get luckier. If you're off the lines then expect your VIN's to be closer to two months off the production line due to transport logistics. As a result, if you're seeing lower VIN's than others what I've laid out above is the most likely reason, they are very few rejects or reworked trucks.

Walking the holding lot, which I've done many times, I'd say the CT is the best built vehicle line they've ever had. Fit, finish, quality, consistency are all greatly improved - even over my 2021 Model S which is a vehicle Tesla was building for a decade before mine rolled off the line.
