Funny you would ask that today. I just got back from an insane 4WD adventure up an narrow fire road lined with sticks and heavy dead branches from an old forest fire. It eventually turned into nothing (with nowhere to turn around) so I had to back down about 1/2 mile to a point I could turn around. Had to fold the mirrors and I used "Trail Assist" at 1 MPH backing up while I was focused on the backup camera. Took me 1 hour. CT looks so cool with dust and scratches (that aren't even scratches). On the way home, I was at a light with a beautiful Rivian...and I kept wondering if the Rivian driver was saying to himself, "Damn, I would never have fun like that with my beautiful paint job."

After one year and 30,000 miles, the stainless steel exterior panels of my CT look as good as the day I got it. The interior is robust and holding up very well too. The exterior appearance disappointment is the dark gray resin bumpers and front spoilers that now sport dings and breaks.

The stainless steel is fantastic for durability. Sadly I've bumped into quite a few things (both wheeled and garage related) and it's still perfect. Even the "fragile" bumper has some scuffs, but isn't too bad. Overall I still love this thing after 15 months!

Also very liberating not to worry about where you park in the parking lot, door dings, that you're going to mess up the paint job, etc.

HFS is resilient, shot my CT with my pressure washer extension arm due to a threading issue, shot so hard I couldn’t even see it, only hear it. Didn’t leave a mark.

The issue now is chemistry though as there are some hard water mark or hard metal reactions leaving some brown marks on the panels. Hard to see unless you look fairly hard. Haven’t had time to address.

New Cybertruck owner here..... I've heard that the Cybertruck HFS is door-dent resistant. Is it true?
Let me put it this way: have you ever seen a CT with a dent?
I struck up a conversation with a curious onlooker when I was exiting the grocery store, and he asked about the resiliency of the stainless. I responded by thrusting my full shopping cart right at the door, and it just bounced off.

The look on his face was priceless :ROFLMAO:

My new thing is whenever someone asks about my cybertruck I say "want a demonstration " and I pull a shovel out from the bed and start hitting the back fender hard like hell. People are shocked. I have managed to create some tiny micro dents but that's after all out hard hits with sometimes sharp objects ???
