Had a great summer roadtrip in the Cyberbeast!

Just returned from our summer road trip. We covered 20,004 kms in 30.5 days! Spent most of the time in Yukon, Northwest Territories, Alaska, BC, and Alberta.

Over 20 days off of the Supercharging network. Plugshare made planning easy, but I hope I never need it again!! Lots of new V4 sites almost ready to roll in Alaska.

Did the entire Alaska Highway, Dempster Highway, Top of the World Highway, etc..

Starlink worked flawlessly everywhere except underwater in the Montreal tunnel.

I'll try to put together a proper thread over the next few days. Have so many awesome photos it is hard to navigate them all.

Must have been quite the adventure, I'd be interested to learn of your experience charging from Whitehorse to Anchorage, was it mainly Plug Share? Would you mind giving locations? It looks like you took a side trip down to Haines what charging stations did you use there? Many thanks for the information.

Yes Plugshare was key. I'll pull together a list of stops, I know my wife has it documented. I should give a warning that Glenallen and Delta Junction DC fast chargers do not work with Cybertruck or newer Native NACS vehicles but are scheduled to be replaced in a month or so according to support.

Thanks for that, did you have moments when you had to get really creative to get a charge, or was it more like just having to do a long 12 amp charge somewhere unexpected?

No, we had 14-50 backup locations planned so we did not have to try 12 amp. However, we did try 12 amp in Tok as we rented a cottage, but it said 24 hrs+ so we went down the road to the nearest campground (Alaska Stoves) and charged with 14-50.

Attached is a document with our charging stops. I am missing a few $$ because I don't have all of my statements but it should be within $200 of this total , so approximately $3,000 CAD or $2,170 USD.

Thanks for this information. I was getting ready to do a mountain bike Canada trip next week, but the smoke put the kibosh on my plan. Maybe I will head up the coast instead, but it isn’t smoke free over there either. I can’t tolerate smoke. Praying for rain.

Fantastic Trip! I hope to do it in my beast in a year or two.

Looks like the starlink is external on the roof glass, is that with suction cups or double-sided tape? Is the power coming from the roof or bed or through a window? An issues with wind or wiring during the trip?

Also is that a rooftop tent or storage? Did you tent camp most of the time or some hotels? I'm interested in your storage solution for a family of 4 for a 30 day trip.

Thanks for the charger list, by the time I go, it may be all superchargers and destination.

Here are the details on Starlink. I swapped out the suction cups for the magnets with metal adhesive disks so it is even lower to the glass. Worked perfect. A USB C cable would be even better because the 120v inverter doesn't work when destination charging. https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...ng-through-crossbar-door.45498/#post-30625745

Yakima Grand Tour 16 that we had for the Model Y worked perfectly. It fits one large suitcase lengthwise, and three carry-ons sideways. No rain or dust entered. Everything in the bed was coated in heavy dust. There is a reason the Tesla ad shows everything in hard Pelican style cases and not luggage!

We stayed in hotels but had everything for day camping in case we had a breakdown or long charging stop: 12x12 screen tent, 6' table, 4 chairs, Traeger smoker, 5 gallons of water with electric pump, Jackery, Bose speaker, induction burner, Magna nesting pots, 2 coolers, etc. I also had a Honda 10 kW generator as a backup incase we had charging trouble or decided to do the Dalton highway but the family had had enough after the Dempster and we didn't want to lose the time to do the Dalton.

Charging: since we returned home Tesla has opened a Supercharger in Grand Prairie and has 4 or 5 sites almost ready to go in AK all the way to Fairbanks so it is going to get easier for sure!
