Keep it turned off & you should be fine. Also turn off sentry for places you trust like your home if in a garage etc
Battery drain is terrible. It’s at 17% this morning. It was 20% when I went to sleep. I don’t recall this happening before this over seas trip.

CT is fun but this isn’t normal.

After being parked at work for almost 9 hours it said zero loss, so initial feedback on turning off the Accessory button is positive. Just charged to 233 miles - will see what I have tomorrow AM.

I don’t have any accessories. The only thing I’ve had done was the OEM light bar partial install but even that isn’t hooked up.

is there a way to force CT to sleep via app? I’m glad I’m not staying a few more days. It would be at 0% when I got back.

down to 16% from 62% when I left a week ago.

I wonder if high ambient temperature is an issue? It’s parked in a parking garage in Las Vegas. It’s like 100°F there.

From what I gather, pending software update isn’t handled properly…the existence of an update ready to download prevents vehicle from sleeping. I normally get the “advanced” updates but I think I’ll switch that setting back to normal just before my next trip and hope for the best.

I hope 2025.20.3 is worth the $40 in electricity it stole from me.

So, I too was seeing large battery drain after the last software update. Updated to 2024.20.3 two days ago and I have only lost 1% over the past 24 hours. So, I am right back where it was prior to the update before last.

I park in a parking garage, do not use sentry mode, but do use cabin overheat protection. It has been in the upper 90s during the day and upper 70s/low 80s at night.

Feel the temp of the camera. My rear camera was very warm. Maybe this heat is draining battery . Heat sucks juice …

Almost 10 hours and zero drain. That accessory on button really hosed me, but at least going forward the drain at home and work should be negligible. Crappy thing is I sized my upsize on my solar panels based on my usage over the last year, which was apparently grossly overstated thanks to my lack of focus on getting this dialed in. Oh well - more AC usage this summer ;-)

Software v12 (2025.20.3 8252e1d331e0)

I would guess that having accessory 'on' powers up a DC to AC inverter which inherently has loss. I do believe sentry mode does activate the camera heaters in cooler weather so that could add to the drain. I noticed when snow covered the areas around the pillar cameras are clear of snow.

For me I tested this some time ago (several updates ago) and I was losing about 3-4% per day in the winter in below zero temperature (not including the blue bar of cold battery losses) and now just under 1% / day in the summer mid to upper 20s (80s). Most appear due to sentry mode and depends on how many 'events' happen. I typically come back to 2-5 events when parked.

You could try and use the sun screen when parked to reduce demand on cabin heat protection.

I am going to be in an area over the upcoming long weekend where there is very little electricity available and I will be in and out of the truck a lot. Hopefully it will work out for me.

I will be parking either a Model Y Juniper (or a CT) at a BART station for 11 days while going on a cruise out of San Francisco. If I have sentry mode on how much battery drain could I expect?
