If you can't afford it just say you can't afford it.
You have to be a teenager pretending to own a Tesla. You’re right I can’t afford it, I just come on here because I’m bored. You would think this is a Honda Civic forum with the immaturity of many.

Apropos of … something:
Literally stopping production until next year.
The F-150 Lightning is clearly not meeting sales expectations. But is this because of the Cybertruck? No, based on the sales numbers from the latest KBB EV Report:

During the first three quarters of 2023 (pre-Cybertruck), Ford sold 12,260 Lightnings.
During the first three quarters of 2024 (post-Cybertruck), Ford sold 22,807 Lightnings.

So Lightning sales have actually risen by 86% since the fourth quarter of 2023, when the Cybertruck became available.

The problem is that Ford built production capacity for 150,000 Lightnings per year. They are way below that. In fact, the entire electric pickup segment -- including Cybertrucks, Rivian R1Ts, Silverados, Sierras, and Hummers -- is below than that level. Even if every other electric pickup magically turned into a Lightning, it would still be below Ford's overly optimistic expectations.

I sold my Foundation Series in August and I expect they'll have 0% interest financing by next summer when I get another. Likely half the payment of the original CT I bought.

It remains to be seen if Tesla's expectations were also overly optimistic. They apparently have built production capacity for over 125,000 Cybertrucks per year, or around 32,000 per quarter. Their 3Q 2024 sales were estimated at about half that level (16,692) by KBB.

To increase demand Tesla will most likely offer incentives or lease deals before we see lower MSRP’s. Lowering MSRP’s would be the next step to increase demand.

Early Model S Plaid owners noticed a huge drop in resale value when Tesla lowered the $130k MSRP by tens of thousands of dollars.

I highly doubt it will happen. What's the price of a Raptor R or a TRX or even a F-150 Platinum or a Denali 1500? Don't even start to look at the prices on an F-250 or HD 2500 Denali Ultimate.
The word on the street is they make like 3K Raptor R a year.

Tesla is targeting most of that per week.

I dunno, IGS does do the puffery thing but carnut 12 is clearly not understanding why this isn't a fan not-fan thing.

The scale of trucks at one location is, as you said, kinda irrelevant.

It's kind of at a lot of them. I've visited some nearby Tesla spots and noticed the same thing. Cybertrucks adding up and visiting my nearby Tesla center, many recent people have recently purchased with no reservation and only ordering within the last 2 weeks.

Take a calculator to the nearest Ford dealership. Count the number of unsold vehicles on the lot, multiply by the number of days in the month, divide by 0.69 and then shove the whole thing up your ass because you can’t determine anything about demand by surveying a single location without any other context!
Except those are already sold vehicles by Ford. It’s the dealerships problem now.

It becomes Ford's problem pretty quickly.

It's one location. Not every location is sitting on dozens of trucks.

If they are having demand problems, they can always lower the point of entry.

You know, price.

Sure, and they’ll sell every single one even if it’s at a loss. Same as Tesla, every single CT will be sold. I’ve never understood why the regular person is concerned with sales numbers. I’m assuming it’s like cheering for a Sports team?
