I've used this with my premium several times and worked great. $53 but not available anymore. Just rebranded china stuff so anything that looks similar should be fine. No need to buy from Tesla.

I would highly recommend staying away from knockoffs and cheap knockoffs. Most of the times the cheap ones do not have proper thermal sensors to detect unsafe conditions and prevent damages. They use far inferior quality wiring/pins, shoddy soldering that might work under very favorable conditions but under stressful conditions such as high current, high heat, moisture etc they can cause serious damages.

Please take a look at this teardown video of a few adapters that shows what's inside a cheap adapter and how they pose greater risk.


The OEM Tesla adapters can be purchased from private party sellers for around $100.

Thank you and I agree, I don't plan on buying a knockoff to save $100. My CT is currently at the service center. I asked a friend that works there and he said he has one that I can borrow for the trip. I have had the CCS1 ($250 from Tesla) for about 4 years and used just once.

All joking aside. As much as CT owners spend on accessories, don't cheap out on safety.


A little more on CCS to NACS adapters.

The unique issue with the Cybertruck is the port location and the wheel trim. Most legacy CCS to NACS adapters, including the early Tesla adapters, the stem is not long enough to fit properly into the Cybertruck, leading to a poor connection, if any. Tesla, A2Z, Hanshow, and others have units that now fit the Cybertruck.

The 2nd issue with the CCS adapters is current capacity. As we're aware, the CT is the first Tesla with an 800V architecture. Telsa claims it will support 350kW charging but there is proof on high-powered 1000v CCS chargers like the Alpitronic and ABB units IONNA and Walmart now use, you can see up to 400-500kW. While that charging rate is brief, you're talking up to 600A through a CCS adapter.

Most likely you'll never have an issue with heat or the adapter melting if you stay on the legacy EVgo and Electrify America 350kW chargers but if you want to use IONNA, Walmart or other high voltage chargers, be future proof, and not void any warranties, invest in a newer Tesla or other UL 2252 certified adapters. They support the higher current throughput and have the better thermal protections built in.

Most likely I'll go with the A2Z EV Thunderstorm Max route. $149 with free shipping and you can catch at least a 10% discount code.

When the first adapter (the one you have) came in the market, CT wasn't a thing. I guess if it was just the form factor, Tesla could make an extension for it. But it's more than that - the new one is rated for higher voltage and amperage to match CT's new architecture.

I was just looking at the A2Z's from Canada with the UL and CSA certifications. However, for the number of times I might use it, I am just going to borrow it from friend my for this trip.

everything moved pretty quickly once VIN was issued the app says my truck is already waiting for me

i had no other contact besides the first few tasks being opened up a few weeks ago

insurance says VIN comes back as 2026 model

There are various other Cybertruck delivery checklists on Youtube and the internet but a few things mentioned in this thread to look out for.

• Make sure you get your mobile adapter
• Center hubcaps should be installed or in the vehicle
• Check alignment, fit and quality of the center console in the rear. Some early deliveries had fitment issues
• Most likely software updates will be a little behind so get it on your home Wifi as soon as possible to get the latest updates.

Don't burst my bubble! I got a better date Wed by a month (Nov to Oct), then it improved again yesterday by another month. Like others reported, I'm now in that Sept window.

The software iv heard you can get the latest faster if you update on the CS network while on premises?
