All of us waiting still are definitely going to be part of a 2nd run or batch of trucks since there is clearly a break in production continuity. Maybe we get some incremental improvement is battery tech, pcs, manufacturing, ect.

I hope when I get mine in the projected Sept to November timeline that it's a 2027 model

While the truck was still clean from delivery I decided to take it down to self-serve car wash on Saturday and complete Stage 1 (IronX application) of my exterior cleaning plan.

I applied IronX to all of the glass and stainless to remove all of the iron fallout from rail transportation. The solution melted off the iron like magic after letting it sit for 5-minutes. I ended up using the entire bottle during this process.

The drivers door was the worst panel on the truck. When you see "vampire blood" running down a panel you know the product is doing it job dissolving iron fallout imbedded in the SS.

Stage 2 (Dawn dishwashing soap bath) and Stage 3 (BKF) are next on the agenda.

VINs got up to the 98xxx range but the stray trucks getting delivered recently are back into the 96-97xxx range which tells me they were in some sort of containment before being released for sale. The last 5 or 6 trucks on social media appear to have been sudden deliveries without the usual vin/transit/delivery timeline. Like out of the blue "hey, come get your truck" type deliveries.

Let's just hope these Q3 trucks don't have anything missing or cheaper compared to the Q2 ones.

Let's just hope these Q3 trucks don't have anything missing or cheaper compared to the Q2 ones.

Can you imagine the uproar if Q2 deliveries used up the remaining rear bench seats with no armrest and Tesla decided to deliver Q3 DM CTs with newly added armrests?

Now I've gone back from 2027 to July 31 - September 11 which is sooner than 8/10-10/05 that I had prior.... But not as soon as June 23-june 30th that I had before that!!! Make your head spin

I asked 10 times for a delivery timeline over a 3 week period. The answers were all over the place. 2027 was my last AI answer and I had a VIN 2 days later.

My take? Use it for entertainment purposes only.
