I purchased these 2 items from a parts wholesale on eBay, just after I pre-ordered the CT in Feb. I do not know if they can be retro-fitted but I'm willing to give it a shot. My delivery was originally slated for Sept-Oct 2026. I'll tackle the fitment once I take delivery.

I've looked over the parts schematics on tesla's website. I'm not positive, but somewhat confident it'll bolt up. Looks like the left and right backs will need to be removed to access the mounting bolts. I may need additional or longer mounting fasteners. It could be super simple or a major pain in the butt.

I installed the Abstract Ocean matte screen protector today. Installation was a breeze thanks to the snap on plastic template that aligns the protector perfectly. I highly recommend this screen protector.

I also purchased their precut PPF pillar kit but I haven't installed it yet.

The bed lights I’m going to hold off on since it looks to me like the side panels also need replacing and not sure I wanna start down that road.

The tailgate light I think I am gonna swap. I have a SC appt in about a week and will inquire then if it’s possible.

I like the quality and it has good anti-glare properties but can also wash out in certain lighing. The most important consideration for those thinking about getting this screen is make sure you can live with the matte finish. You will be giving up some clarity.

Yeah this is always the compromise. For what it's worth right now we are selling about 65% matte and 35% clear. I've always preferred the matte finish for the glare and fingerprint rejection, but equally I no longer have 20/20 vision, so I'm quite happy without the pin-sharp clarity you get with a gloss protector.

How did you get it to secure to the middle seat? I see it has clips in the vendor's ad but unsure how that would work in the CT.

The tailgate can be swapped. I damaged mine last year and ordered a replacement off ebay. There are a few video's on YT showing how to remove and reinstall for the camera washer mod. It was a little tricky, but not hard to do--took about an hour. I told an acquaintance about this and he got the truck last week. He had already ordered a tailgate light replacement off ebay to do what I did, and did the replacement. They said everything works perfect however there's a popup on the screen that the camera software or firmware on the camera needs to be updated. AI said this can be fixed with reinstalling the software or waiting for next update that includes a camera firmware update.

I pulled the clips back behind it and snapped Into the child lock clips. Holds fine. Also the one with the clips has the little piece that tucks Into the seat.

Kinda random but got a chance to sit in a launch edition r2 and the audio system was very underwhelming…. And I have a dual motor 2018 model 3. Was cross shopping the r2 and the cybertruck since its relatively the same money for me.

A heads up to all Dual Motor owners.

The aftermarket bottom console organizers sold on Amazon do not fit the 2026 SAWD trim. The bottom of the console is slightly different from the Premium and Beast trims. The ones being sold are too long in one direction and too short in the other.

CT59 recently reported that the Premium rear tail light assembly and smugglers bay bed floor are not swappable into the SAWD trucks. Add this minor one to the list as the OEM center console has a slightly different design.
