‘Did they catch up with their backlog, or did their backlog bleed off?

They lost a lot when they goofed around with prices. There have also been a fair number who didnt follow through on orders.
A little from column a, a little from column b...

HUH? What does any of this have to do with my comment?

Tesla reset prices to where they were in 2021 Before the big supply chain disasters jacked up prices artificially. Nothing more.

EV prices have been trending down for 10+ years. 2021-2022 was a an aberration and Rivian’s base pricing was set prior to that.

Not sure what any of your post has to do with my post or Rivian pricing.

Rivian’s $80k+ pricing was never sustainable for a long term strategy. Trucks don’t sell in large volumes at those prices.

If any of your ramblings about Musk’s twitter presence held water, it would bolster Rivian sales, not cause them to drop off.

You were talking about headwinds for sales, such as raising prices to meet supply, or losing demand from raising prices because of costs.

Pretty sure his continued mouthing off has cost him sales. But the drop in prices and that most polls trend conservative will hide these sorts of effects.

I was talking about Rivian not hitting their targets.

Has nothing to do with Musk,

the point was directly related to one of your comments, and pretty obvious

you mentioned Rivian buyers were ticked off about price changes

response was that EV buyers are pretty forgiving at present, as can be seen - was the suggestion - by people also being irritated at Tesla price changes and/or CEO, but Tesla selling just fine

You talked about Rivian doing things to upset their customer base. Seems pretty on-topic, on a Cybertruck forum, to me.

… oh please.

I guess just any excuse to go off on rants about Musks Twitter is justified for you folks.

Apparently Musks Twitter talk is “on topic” for every thread on the forum and replying to any post.

Makes every bit as much sense as the following absurdity:

These penny per word freelance writers can keep writing their fluff pieces to feed themselves.
If they get paid based on how believable and convincing their hit pieces are, then they are obviously not eating very well!

You're the one who brought up a company pissing off its customer base:

‘Did they catch up with their backlog, or did their backlog bleed off?

They lost a lot when they goofed around with prices. There have also been a fair number who didnt follow through on orders.
If you want it to not be on-topic, don't bring up the topic.
