Emotionally prepare yourself.

Mine is on pace for in shop almost 30 days now.

For context I have 345 miles on mine.

Sounds like my situation was similar to yours:

- Drove to work...everything fine
- Got back in truck mid-day and HVAC error appeared
-- Tried to "reset" panel, blah, blah, blah...still error
- Went to app and showed appt 2 weeks out...in SoFL heat
- Drove to SC and they told me HVAC was an "emergency issue" and took truck right away
-- Due to flooding in SoFL, they were backed up with other repairs, so it took them a week to diagnose
- Parts were originally scheduled for Mid-Jul
-- I reminded SC this would put situation beyond FL "Lemon Law" (not being adversarial, just a fact)
-- They searched far and wide across fleet and found parts and trying to get me back on road before 1 Jul

We shall see....

Got mine a week before yours. 1300 miles and just got this the morning after the recent software update...

"Please wait while electrical system test runs. Drive will be available once checks finish" : UI_a112

The "Alert" from previous evening after software update showed "USB device malfunction - I/O error - Unplug device from USB port" Please remove device": VCLEFT_a420

Had to pull out the USB to enable "Drive". Same thing happened this morning. However, I had to "Power Off/On" from Control/Safety to get it to drive. Doing some more testing before taking it in.

What has been your experience getting HVAC addressed? Did you walk in to SC?

Which SW version are you running?

I had an appointment in the app already for July 23rd to address other issues (Not getting lane departure warnings, window trim loose, and other minor stuff). So within the app I sent a message that the HVAC system is not working and blowing HOT air and I need to have this addressed immediately. In Arizona, thats pretty much an Emergency. I did not get any response. Yesterday morning, I called the local SC and was on hold for one hour and twenty five minutes! I actually decided to drive to the SC while on hold. Once there I showed the manager my hold time (while still on hold) and he apologized. They agreed that the AC has priority and accepted my truck without an appointment. I was hoping to get the truck back today for my road trip to CA to visit my family and show them the truck. They gave me a Model X loaner and said I cant leave the state of Arizona.
I was hoping to get my truck back today, but just received a text that due to parts delay, it will not be ready till next week!
Im pretty bummed out that my weekend plans are ruined and I cant drive to see my family for the holidays. Not to mention that my dad passed last week and he wanted me to spread his ashes by his brother in CA.

Im sorry for your family's loss. May you find comfort in the good memories as you work through your grief.

To add insult to injury, if your HVAC issue is similar to mine, I allegedy received the last few parts in inventory not at the factory (so says my SC). No kidding I'm on week 3 and barrelling towards week 4. I hope your issue is resolved more timely than mine.

Obviously this is a first world problem with a cutting edge product, but this a but a damper on my Tesla enthusiasm for sure.

Grrrrrrr

Alot to unpack here... Sorry for your great loss! CT problems pale. A loaner was nice but rental of a vehicle should be default response.. Why didn't you go? A weakness in the no-dealer model for Tesla is lack of parts department... Vertical integration should help JIT, but not if 10 or 20 % need service!! Both your pain and pride in Teslas are appreciated! Good luck!!

Thank you for the kind words. I've decided to fly to CA, but was looking forward to my first road trip with the truck. Like mentioned, the CT issues are minor in my life right now.

Hug a loved one today.

Which AZ service center? Nothing but great service in Glendale for me.
What's the reason for not leaving the state with the loaner? 100k or more for a vehicle should come with 100k perks.

Tempe Location..limited to 200 miles a day, and can't leave the state..it's in their "loaner agreement".
