Or just don’t deliver products with this known issue…

there is a fix, yes… but god forbid the car slows dramatically while turning on a yielding left and someone in cross traffic does not expect this..

They should put a rush on these fixes that disable a vehicle, maybe slow down the time to repair the windshields of youtubers shooting their trucks and expedite owners who have real problems.

More proof that Tesla's are computers on wheels.

The good news? It sounds like Tesla revised the affected part at the speed of Elon.

Should not go out unless they are close to prefect, but a ton o pressure due to the long wait post 2019 and very slow rollout and ramp of the CT

…or unless they need money..

We all know why the “Exclusive Early Access” push…

Tesla is plenty profitable, they are charging an extra $20k because they can and people will pay it. It kind of throws it in the face of brand loyal long term reservation holders but customer service has always been priority #8 for Tesla. Likely not a problem long term if the refreshed version of the Cybertruck is released next year with better stats and options.

lol ok, Wtf, I think I’m done on this forum. 👋🏼
Do not let the negativity get to you, at this point if you disappear into the internet people will claim this was a made up story from a short-seller, which if that is the case, shame.
But if this was what actually happened people should know and Tesla should be held accountable to make sure it does not happen again.

No offense but the guy who made this video just made one of the worst and dumbest mistakes, a Cybertruck owner could ever make imo. He posted this video and now haters and social media will love it, and I even told him while it premiered in the live chat that it was a big and dumb mistake. Now its all over social media and the media websites thanks to his youtube video. Normally I don't say anything rude to the owners but I'm doing this for his and other owners own good so they don't have to live with haters say all kinds of things about them and their trucks. Sidenote, the media is also using some of the information and pictures posted on this forum I think they used the pictures posted in this thread in addition to that video for their post. Can't cybertruck owners ever get privacy and peace of mind. And the cybertruck seems to be a vehicle for rich people rather than the utility vehicle capable of a lot of things that were originally promised with the old cybertruck. In fact I miss the old cybertruck shown in 2019 with a lot of better specs even though I like a lot of things on the new one better. But anyways back to the point I am trying to make is that most Rich youtubers keep complaining about issues, range, slow charging times, and their conveniences. And most of us can easily live with that. If those rich people don't like it why didn't they buy something else, not that they need it anyways. They have so many rich sport cars anyways.

I was kind of jealous that everyone were getting their CT/CB before me, but after seeing this post I kind of glad I don’t have it just yet. Oh, I’m still getting it. Things like this happens to every brand new car. You just hope it’s not you. I just hope Tesla figures what is causing this prior to getting mine.

The truck is for rich people bud.
It started out as a $40k truck, with a work truck option that would have over 500miles of range.
It is currently $100k and has half the range.

Work truck features cut:
$40k pricepoint
Tailgate ramp
Mid-gate for large cargo
Range

Rich people features added:
$100k pricepoint
Steer by wire
Faster 0-60
Robust sound system

The truck was advertised as a tough work truck made out of steel.
It has turned into a mix between a sports car and a luxury SUV, which is perfect for me, a fun 4th vehicle for the weekend or a trip to the beach.
Other than the production and quality issues the current version of the CT is perfect for me and most buyers, people who do not need to go more than 100miles one direction, and do not use it as a work truck. Sure you can use it as a work truck but you can also use a minivan as a work truck if you want.

As far as people posting videos, if it is true information they are posting and others are twisting it, they are supposed to not post anything? I don't understand that unless you have more shares of stock than I do and are not wanting truthful information to be out there.

Final price with tax on CT is $129-$141k depending where you live, so the every-man work truck originally announced is gone, and we now have a big sports car for people who can afford $120k on a 2nd or 3rd vehicle. It is perfect for my needs and Tesla I am sure realized they could make more money on a sports SUV than a basic work truck that is a super satruated market.

You are absolutely correct. I just thought that if there are issues personally it’s not a good idea to post it on social media and have people make fun of it and the media twisting the truth. I’m fine with it being posted to be honest though actually. Love your explanation by the way.

Why are many threads like this from people who just joined the forum very recently within the last month or so???

- ÆCIII
Makes sense to me, as more deliveries happen, more people are curious to look at and discuss these topics. I also have a relatively new account but that shouldn’t detract from my ability to engage in a meaningful discussion and learn from others. Your skepticism is misplaced, and there is no reason to be defensive about a public forum as long as we maintain a respectful demeanor.

It’s going to be my daily, even though I can afford it not to be it’s technically a second vehicle for me. but a lot of full size trucks push 80k easy especially new models with shitty dealer markups and bad MPG so it’s honestly not that far off. removing the FS fsd brings actual price down to ~88 no?

Besides range it competes well if they solve all these issues.

From what I heard the power conversion system issue might become a service bulletin now.

The $40k truck featured 300mi range. The 500mi version was $70k.

Half of 500 is 250, the AWD has a 320 mile range.

You can't remove or get a refund for FSD. The cheapest you can get a CT for currently is $100k which is going to be $120 by the time taxes, fees, destination etc is all in there.

It is a great extra vehicle to drive for fun but not currently a reliable DD and certainly not a work truck for most applications.
