The $40k truck featured 300mi range. The 500mi version was $70k.

Half of 500 is 250, the AWD has a 320 mile range.
If the truck was $40k and 300miles I would buy one for my guys as a work truck 300 miles of range would be tight on some days but would save on fuel and maintinence.

The AWD 320 is really about 250, if you do only town you will get 300 but touch the highway and 300s are gone.

No 40k version, no 70k version, no version that is over 300 realistically or even 340 on paper.

They are AMAZING sports cars, but people still trying to jam them into the "work truck" or "affordable truck" category are setting themselves up for disappointment. They have to look at the truck that is here today, not the concept vehicle from 2019

Makes sense to me, as more deliveries happen, more people are curious to look at and discuss these topics. I also have a relatively new account but that shouldn’t detract from my ability to engage in a meaningful discussion and learn from others. Your skepticism is misplaced, and there is no reason to be defensive about a public forum as long as we maintain a respectful demeanor.
Oh yes, posting something without any context of Tesla support or diagnosis to provide us the whole story is a very 'respectful demeanor'. It's not like someone rushed to only post something negative before getting Tesla's information.

Oh wait - what's this?!

Took delivery today, AWD.. made it 1 mile down road, started getting steering error, flashing red screen, pulled off side of highway now the truck is dead and I’m waiting for a tow truck. Dealer couldn’t do anything for me. It was great for 5 minutes.. tried everything, restarting, screen is stuck black and keeps beeping

tesla really rushed these trucks out, what a nightmare.

Lol I still don’t understand why you are so bothered. If you followed the thread, the issue was identified and will be fixed. Again, there is no reason to display the skepticism you are displaying unless it is warranted. IMO, it wasn’t but that’s just my opinion. Time to issue a hall pass and move along.

Dude it’s the internet, of course people are not going to go post how happy they are with their purchase. It’s the people who have stuff happen to them that post

I can get 600 miles of range downhill at 35MPH. "That's not realistic" you say? That's why range discussions should use the EPA rating, since that's at least applied consistently between models and brands. Obviously your actual mileage may vary.

Work truck features cut:
Mid-gate for large cargo
No one promised you a mid-gate. It was never on the spec sheet.

Rich people features added:
Faster 0-60
The speeds for the Dual and Tri were listed as 4.5s and 2.9s respectively at reveal, this is fundamentally unchanged.

I wasn't critical of the whole thread or posts afterward.

I was pointing out what could've been included in the first post starting the thread, and how what was included or excluded might reveal something about the OP or context.

Being genuine and thoughtful go hand in hand. Being one-sided is such a worn out obvious tactic like the MSM uses, and most intelligent people are totally sick of that. I will always point out the obvious or when I think something is being intentionally left out, and I'll 'move along' when I'm good and ready.

Ok - I think I'll move along now.

No offense but the guy who made this video just made one of the worst and dumbest mistakes, a Cybertruck owner could ever make imo. He posted this video and now haters and social media will love it, and I even told him while it premiered in the live chat that it was a big and dumb mistake. Now its all over social media and the media websites thanks to his youtube video. Normally I don't say anything rude to the owners but I'm doing this for his and other owners own good so they don't have to live with haters say all kinds of things about them and their trucks. Sidenote, the media is also using some of the information and pictures posted on this forum I think they used the pictures posted in this thread in addition to that video for their post. Can't cybertruck owners ever get privacy and peace of mind. And the cybertruck seems to be a vehicle for rich people rather than the utility vehicle capable of a lot of things that were originally promised with the old cybertruck. In fact I miss the old cybertruck shown in 2019 with a lot of better specs even though I like a lot of things on the new one better. But anyways back to the point I am trying to make is that all of the rich people keep complaining about issues, range, slow charging times, and their conveniences. And most of us can easily live with that. If those rich people don't like it why didn't they buy something else, not that they need it anyways. They have so many rich sport cars anyways.
Hey wait a minute. I resent that! I’m rich and I don’t complain about my CT!

wait or is it that I’m poor and complain about my CT nonstop?

I’m so confused…. 😂😂

Same thing happened to me, just 4 days after I took delivery. My CyberTruck was in service for 3 weeks. I filed a claim on the NHTSA website.

Yes it was finally repaired, but I know several other cyber truck owners who have been waiting up to 1.5 months for the repair. It really sucks because Tesla doesn’t communicate anything. In fact the majority of the wait comes from awaiting delivery from parts off the manufacturing floor. Tesla’s customer service stinks and we all paid $20K more to be the literal test dummies for Tesla. I still love my truck, but the experience has me worried for the next time there’s an issue. Tesla’s support has dropped off a cliff compared to when I owned my first one 8 years ago.
