Any owners here tested their charging curve after installing 2024.14.3 update?

I am supercharging with the new firmware right now, and I’m seeing some odd behavior. Starting at a very low SOC, I initially got the full 250 kW, but it would abruptly drop to almost nothing before ramping back up to the full charge speed again.

I thought maybe it was temperature based, so I am watching service mode and the battery does not seem to be excessively hot, although the cooling system is very active. Oddly, the front radiator louver is still closed, shouldn’t it be open when actively cooling?

[UPDATE: when the radiator fan speed increased from 800 to 2000 rpm, the louver opened.]

Telsa badly needs actual V4 chargers. They are trying to pump 500A over 400V and that's a recipe for heat. Out of Spec managed to charge at 800V on an Electrify America charger, but had to use an adapter salad. Speaking of which, I need that recipe. CCS to NACS with a NACS breakaway adapter?

Yep, Out of Spec experienced that on their coast to coast race from Florida to San Diego and found wrapping the handle in a cold, wet, towel helped keep the charging speed up.
Defeating a safety sensor is rarely a good idea.

I just Supercharged from 9% to 100% and the plug temperature hovered around 60°C.

Agree with you.

Kyle also found he could charge at a 350KwH EA charger using an EVJect adapter linked to the Tesla CCS adapter to fit past the fender flare. But, he noted this is a recipe for disaster - using a 400v-rated adapter at an 800v charger (melt-down potential).

Doesn't look like there are many CCS to NACS adapters that can do the 440A necessary to get to 350kW (at 800V). They are all made for the model s, x, 3, y which can only do 250kW. Hopefully we either get actual V4 chargers or companies make adapters that are optimized for the cybertruck.
