State Farm, has charged me back for the amount of an anti-theft discount initially applied to my insurance bill.

I’ve never had a vehicle stolen.

why doesn’t Cybertruck qualify for an ant-theft insurance discount from State Farm?

That’s something you need to call State Farm for. Talk to your insurance agent and see if he has any answers.
Keep us posted with any updates if you do!

If you have PIN-to-drive enabled that's like the most effective anti-theft measure ever

So take this with a grain of salt but my son had the same issue, the only answer that the agent could give is that other Teslas had a large discount due to "continuous camera and theft alerts but their data shows the Cybertruck is not taking advantage of this due to battery issues"

Only thing that makes sense is the Sentry mode is not getting used due to high vehicle drain on the average, so you may still be getting the ALARM discount, but maybe not the camera / sentry portion.

Even with Sentry disabled, there is still an alarm system with GPS-based remote tracking.

Have Cybertrucks been stolen??!? Hmmmm.

Found this in the Owner's Manual: (emphasis mine)

"The vehicle security system activates when Cybertruck does not detect an authenticated phone or key and:
  • A locked door is opened
  • The locked tailgate is opened
  • The powered front trunk is opened
When your vehicle detects this, the siren sounds, headlights and turn signals flash, and you receive a notification on your mobile app that the security alarm is triggered. To deactivate the alarm, press any button on the mobile app or tap your key card against the card reader located on the driver's side door pillar.

Sentry Mode and the vehicle alarm system are two separate things: the alarm system works similar to other vehicles (a siren sounds when a locked door is opened), whereas Sentry Mode uses cameras and audio to detect suspicious activity nearby (see Sentry Mode for more information). If Cybertruck is in Sentry Mode, the Security Alarm setting is not available."

Hmmm, not exactly sure what that means? I've seen plenty of Sentry videos that show the alarm system flashing. Maybe they mean "Sentry Mode includes the Security Alarm setting and you cannot disable it separately"?

Whatever. The Cyberscam just cost me an additional $448.08 per year.

You may be onto something there, If Cybertruck is in Sentry Mode, the Security Alarm setting is not available." does not make sense to me.

Thanks for the helpful information. My agent responded to my email today with a canned out of office message.

Seems like they are always there when it is time to take your $ but always out of the office when you need something.
Hope they can get it sorted out thats a lot of $ on top of an already expensive vehicle to insure.

Considering how State Farm is acting, at least in California, nothing they do would surprise me.

Here is my take on the [Home/Auto] insurance market. If a carrier decides to leave a state, then they should be informed that they will not be allowed to re-enter that state's insurance market for a period of no less than 'N' years. I would set 'N' to 5 years, but it should be determined based on how much it will cost for their insureds to find alternative carriers, with the assumption that the state may have to cover them for a while. That way they really have to think about leaving before just doing it. I know that this point of view flies in the face of corporate independence and, to some, will smack of socialism (which I am not against at all), but rampant greed is also not good for the country. Everyone is always saying that the way to social change is to "hit them in the pocket book". This idea of mine does just that.
