Been to every state in Mexico. Variety of vehicles. Mostly BMW r11 GS motorcycle and VW Westy. Spent months at a time. Mostly for surfing, but sometimes just to enjoy it. In the bus, I drove the free roads. I generally camped with the truckers and drank white tequila and cheered as the hookers danced around the fire. Great memories. Had some interesting experiences. Far more positive than negative. The Mexican people are lovely humans, but when things go sideways they can really go sideways fast. There just wasn’t a safety net in Mexico back then. I assume it’s still like that in remote places. The US on measure was a more violent place back then as the Mexican people still had a wonderful sense of community. I agree that you should definitely stock up on toys, candy, and cheap but cool electronic gadgets. Spread the love, be a good anmabasdor, and mostly be humble and kind. You are a guest. I wouldn’t worry and I would encourage you to check your preconceptions at the border. In general I think people would love the truck and want to talk to about it and such, but if shit goes wrong, it could go all the way wrong. I love Mexico. You get what you give.

As many may have written, or maybe not.

Often, yet never in a Tesla. Toyota or similar type pickup. Years of no problems. Then problems. Far from tourist local. Mostly hiking, and backcountry.

There are Tesla superchargers all through out Mexico just like the USA. Also, Cybertrucks are sold in Mexico, so there are Cybertrucks being driven around by Mexican citizens in Mexico.
Looks like 32 NAC chargers in the entire country, 20 of which are destination chargers. I always carried 10 gallons of extra gasoline when I drove there, so maybe you want to pack some energizer batteries or something. )

(y) I assumed that the Tesla Charger stations would be a decent indication of safe places to begin with. As I doubt they would organize and place stations in dangerous areas. I still have not put the final destination into the truck yet. Probably will today, and see what kind of route I get.
Worse case you can use alternative EV chargers with the adapter but yes I'd assume the Tesla chargers have a security presence.

not a chance.
I googled Travel in Mexico

Let us know how your trip goes
I'll see how it goes once winter comes around, if I can I will ship it, what worries me is how long I can keep the truck in a shipping container before the batt dies.

love your adventurous spirit! The Supercharger map indicates you’d have a much easier drive if you start in southern Texas instead of CA/AZ/NM:

And ideally you would want to target the V3s for faster and more reliable charging:
