That should be a huge headline being that Alabama has sold all of four F-150 Lightnings in the whole state.
"75% of Electric Ford Lightning pickups in AL have failed battery packs!"
So 150% of F150's are failing? You read it here first folks, must be true!

Just sell the stupid truck like everyone else. Worse thing that may happen is Telsa blocks you from ordering another one. If you're married and you want to buy another Tesla, use your wife's name.

Did anyone try to return cybertruck to tesla here?
I have a cyberbeast that i am debating on either returning or selling. I would prefer tesla takes it back but I have not been able to make any contact with anyone. This is really frustrating.
Would appreciate some advice/guide on this.
Absolutely not. I LOVE my CT. I planned on this being the last vehicle I ever purchase and I am completely sure it will be now.

They won’t block you from selling call the dealership where you got it from ask them to buy it back because you don’t like it whatever the reason maybe ..they will tell you in a day Tesla will not buy it and you can sell it urself … it’s that easy :) got this for significant other and they don’t want it find too big so we will be selling it soon !

Hell, I probably sold a hand full or more just by driving mine around and answering questions. I need evangelist pay... ?

I got a hold of them by texting back on the CT text message chain. Then they followed up via email.

I rejected their offer and said I will sell to 3rd party if they can’t match their offer.

Did I read this correctly that they intend to give you the full value of the truck minus mileage and any damage? Obviously taxes have nothing to do with Tesla (and this isn't a return, it's a sellback), so I'm trying to understand the concern you have other than you can possibly make more money selling it independently. I'm not trying to start a fight, just trying to understand your situation.

Yes, you could sell it for more money, but they can sue you for $50k or the full profit you made over $50k. I didn't want to risk it since the highest offer I got on my Beast was $145k. I paid $135k out the door so a $10k profit is really nothing. The truck is paid with free money so I don't really care if I sold it or not. It's still a decent truck.

Tesla offered me a buy back as stated in the contract, but I will lose like $15k in taxes so I didn’t sell it back. They said they will sue me if I resell it to others.
Could you share the communication with us? I would like to see how they word it.

The trend I *think* I'm seeing is a lot of folks that have never had a Tesla bought the truck and are completely infatuated with it. Folks that have owned multiple Teslas for many years are disappointed in what it *could* have been. Meaning their expectations were very high. Or maybe it was just me. At the end of the day, I'm still very torn on keeping this truck. I do like it a lot. It still seems like it might be the best EV truck available. I still find it a disappointment over what I think it could have been.
What it “could” have been? I mean majority of us saw the concept when it was revealed back in 2019 and besides it having a yoke and quartz like dashboard, what else is different from the production model and the concept? Maybe I’m forgetting something.

range is lower then promised.
passthrough truck bed
seating for six
no FSD (no lidar)

things one should expect on a 100k truck.
the stainless steel is wavy when you look at from an angle
the door edges are hazardously sharp, rough cut.
the white trim pieces are not smooth
the headliner meeting the window is unfinished, its just a gap with visible threads.

It feels like a rushed unfinished truck.
Much cheaper vehicles have better finishes.

I'm not sure which vehicles people have driven before but my Z71 Tahoe drove much smoother. The ride on anything higher low is like driving on the moon.

I still like it and will likely keep it, but I understand why someone would want to return it.
The price you pay for being an early recipient., I get it.
