That we’ve had no news about the status of the waiting list? Here we have allegedly over a million people who have put up a trivial investment that they collectively believe entitled them to a place in line and no word.
Either there are significant problems with the line or Tesla is continuing with its “let them eat cake” attitude towards those who hunger for real information.

Why would there be? Tesla isn't delivering everybody's Cybertruck at the delivery event, just a handful. It will be first of the year before they start batching out requests to complete configurations. This is the pattern of the last several launches.

they haven’t had the reveal/delivery event yet. That’s a delivery to insiders, used as a marketing subterfuge for revealing information.

but it seems you want information specifically on the line and how it will work

I wouldn’t hold breath that on Nov 30th they’ll make any promises about how the reservation line will work. They’re unlikely to paint themselves into a corner regarding their ability to throttle demand by approaching the reservation line any specific way, much less consistently over time.

Tesla will do what they always do, deliver based on geographic shipping batches, not sure why everybody thinks there is some kind of line based on the reservation numbers, there's not. The reservations will be pulled based on geographic delivery targets and nothing else.

I am not worried. By the time it is my turn, there will be a lot of other options. Who knows may be even a compact truck:

Isn't it bizarre that people believe that a company should release information based on what they want, and not what the company is ready to release? Isn't it bizarre that people want a company to set themselves up to fail so that the potential customers feel better about the knowledge that they have? Isn't it bizarre that people think all this information is set in stone and the company is just refusing to release it out of some game they are playing?

This is not about our thirst for information, this is about billions of dollars that they can lose if they don't get this right. If you truly want a CT and the company to last long enough to support it, you have to let them release the information on their terms, not ours.

Maybe Tesla could have, I dunno, some sort of event to release the info? Maybe on a specific day? 🤔

I find the outrage about my original post amusing. The question still stands - the company and Elon have made use of the many who paid a trivial deposit as evidence of the popularity of the concept car. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect the company make this kind of statement: “Initial orders will be allocated according the whim of management, but future production after (insert date) will be allocated to the reservation holders in the order in which their reservations were received by the company.”

and they might, on Nov 30!

and whatever they say on Nov 30, they might even follow it for a while after Nov 30!
