We are now close to mid February. Are we getting any information to suggest the ramp is picking up speed, stalled, paused or whatever? I know we are still very early but so far this ramp does not appear to be going quickly at all. two additional questions? How and why does Tesla keep such a tight lid on the ramp details?

1) patience. It's a ramp. Like a hockey stick.
2) because ramps may discover production issues that slow things, so can't be used to predict future results, stuff that trolls, FUD and short sellers would misrepresent.

The only info we have to go on at this point is the drone flyover videos. However, even those are getting less useful, as people are claiming that there are trucks sitting outside of giga texas waiting for trim pieces. So comparing the number of trucks outside of the factory each day is now of questionable usefulness.

We did go from ~20 per day (at the time of flyover) to ~60 per day, but in this context it's impossible to know if some of them have been sitting there for a few days or all rolled out of the factory that day.

Tesla tries to limit manpower spent on customer service. The less they tell us, the less questions that we know to ask. Also, the stock is incredibly volatile, making big swings on small news very frequently. So it benefits them greatly to keep us in the dark for as long as possible.

60 per day? I think at best they are in the ~40 per day range. End of day staging had about 20 or so on the 2/8 video (below), so it's hard to think that 40 CTs and all of the accompanying Model Ys shipped out before this picture here.

Another month... or so... probably they've built about 1,500 of the first 10,000, in my opinion.

Don't expect any news out of Tesla. Or for that matter, any other manufacturer. That's generally considered proprietary information.

Heck, some car manufacturers have problems producing ANY production numbers, yet alone quarterly numbers.

We *MAY* hear an update after the end of Q1.
