I have a lot of brake dust only on the left rear wheel. The other three wheels are clean. I was looking here to see if anyone else had the same problem as me. I got delivery on June 3rd and used the brakes four times and only very lightly. I have $1,760 Mi on it.
Same here; only on left back tire.

I made an appointment with service because I'm wondering if the caliper is sticking. The earliest date near me is September 12th.

I suspect the rear brakes are dragging. Maybe pull a front and rear tire and compare pad wear.

Or jack up a rear tire with the truck in car wash mode (front tires blocked of course) and see if you hear brake dragging or feel resistance when trying to spin the raised wheel.

I get the same on mine (FS AWD, 113xx, Delivered 05/30).

Some dust on the right/rear, less on the left/rear, not a speck on the fronts.

W.A.G. on my M3P, there is a setting in menu to simulate breaking when charged full. This engages brakes to simulate the same drag you would normally have when regen braking.
if battery is above a certain SOC there is no where for the regen energy to go.

only thing that gets rusty on my M3 is the rotors and they quickly clean when applying pad pressure/ brakes once in a while, normally just before autocar washing.

Exactly the same situation with me (FS Beast is only difference).

I don't tailgate so I rarely ever need to use the physical brakes (almost 100% regenerative braking for me).

My electric pressure washer easily removed the discoloration from the wheels without any chemicals or elbow grease. But the reddish tint (from whatever this is) won't wash off my tires.

AWD VIN 7xxx delivery May 10th, 2024 now with 6,872 miles. I have never noticed this on any of my wheels. Rotated wheels at 6,140 miles, no dust noticed on hands with no gloves used. Interested to see what the fix is for those with the issue.

ugh! I used to see this in my Porsche as well, and I hated it. I guess using the wheel cover is the only option! ?

I solved my problem , I posted a new video on my channel. check out if it helps anyone. Basically I removed the wheel, cleaned it , washed it & then did ceramic coating inside as well. So far I am very happy with results. My channel link in signature below.

Notice the same thing on my beast, I believe it’s normal and I’m not worried about it

That caliper might not be retracting.
