Just read into the latest rebates and cost capital allowances and I'm amazed how good of a deal this is.
- firstly, Cybertruck has NO luxury tax since it's over the luxury vehicle weight threshold which saves up to $13K for a beast.
- For a business owner in BC, you get a $10,000 rebate for electric pick-up trucks with a bed length of at least 72 inches.
- You also get a federal rebate of $10,000 for electric pick-up trucks
- Lastly, for vehicles bought between Jan 1st, 2024 and Dec 31st 2025, you can write off $45,750 for your business.
So basically $33K in cash savings and $45K in tax savings for your business.
Another bonus -- BC Hydro now has off-peak hours rate for electricity use (11pm - 7:00am) which means you can charge your EV for ~8 cents per kilowatt.
