Would love to know if they also tested other types of rifle rounds such as NATO 5.56 and 7.62!

interesting - if it really was a Tommy gun, as in Thompson submachine gun, that's a .45 ACP which is a fair step up from the initial 115gr 9mm they claimed.
No way it's going to stop a rifle round, that isn't a realistic expectation. Stopping a .45 is already a step up.

Does this mean it's strong enough to stop the bullets from the kind of guns that road rangers carry?
Tommy gun fires hand gun size ammunition so should offer protection to handguns, IF they shoot at the door.

It's unlikely the windows are bulletproof, but at least you can sort of hide behind the doors in many cases and try to get out of there.

For rifle calibres it's not going to be as effective but will slow it down a fair bit, meaning with some kevlar wrap mod you should be able to get it to stop the smaller rifle rounds.

This is pretty cool... But they were not specific to what it stopped. If it was a .45 acp, not too bad. Originally they talked in terms of a 9mm. That is a fairly common low end round. My carry weapons are .40 or 10MM, My fun guns are .357 or .44 magnum. I pretty much doubt the skin would stop any of those. I can't imagine it stopping any of my rifle rounds. Still, this is as close to an armored car as I would ever own. I have two of these trucks on order from 2019, but I don't know when they might deliver? 2025 and 2027 are my best guesses, and I don't know if they will even be relevant when I get them.

real or fake? At first it looked like only the doors were 'tested' but the bed panel has some holes.
Only the doors are bullet proof. Always been the case.
