Tesla makes changes between production batches, not necessarily model years like legacy auto manufacturers. There could be changes between the beginning and end of the same model year, but none between the end of one year and the beginning of another. The model year can affect resale value, taxes, and insurance however.Yeah, looks like a current 26 model year is gonna be the only option. Just don’t know what they fixed or updated in the current model year versus 25.
I waited for a '25 because I expected the first year to have more bugs than the second, and I wanted that in case I resell it before I die. YMMV.
