I would guess it will be months before many of us here the recall is on our trucks. They are still building and have almost 50k trucks to build the new part for.

I pick mine up tomorrow, it was manufactured on 2/25. My delivery was originally scheduled for 3/20. Contacted my SA, they indicated they have the parts and my contrails are replaced via the recall. So parts are being sent out, and deliveries are starting . . . It's more than just a change in the adhesive from what I have read - actually adding some physical attachments along with different adhesive . . .

No, any dealer stock vehicle with an open recall has a stop sale and all recalls must be performed prior to sale.
That is what I though, just seems odd that owners who have loose cantrails can not get service because the service center does not have parts. But meanwhile they are delivering CTs from that service center, some of which are inventory vehicles and have been on site for a while.

Well my service center does. I pick up my delivery tomorrow and they already performed the recall repair.

Anyone know the details of what changes they made to the cant rails?
Per recall filing, different adhesive and they are welding the front stud to the stainless piece instead of the carrier bracket. So it will have a direct mechanical attachment point.

At one point they had a delivery freeze for this, looks like they have not started to deliver. So are they prioritizing vehicles for delivery to push out before end of the quarter. Can they deliver vehicles with an open recall that has not been addressed?
I took delivery yesterday in MN, with the fix in place. They are actively working to update vehicles due to deliver this week. There are several in a separate thread waiting to take delivery once this has been corrected.

Are they going to force this onto customers if we bring in the car for ann unrelated matter?

My car is wrapped and the cant rail looks solid. Not too keen on doing this.
Had the truck in for brake service. They checked them out but said if I didn’t want anything done at the time they would remove the item from the service visit so it could be done later. That is what I had them do and they said future service visits it would be add again. Sounds like you can kick the can down the road as long as you want.

They can’t force customers to have the work done
You are right but then if the cantrail does fly off, likely at speed and injuried someone or damage a vehicle, the liability shifts solely on to you, so why chance it.

Exactly, Not only to the driver but Tesla for failing to perform the Recall.

Some here might be new to Tesla, but they will perform the recall whether you want to or not. It’s a Safety liability issue. TSB are a different animal and optional. Like trying to refuse a software update…… good luck…

Just curious, can you elaborate why you don’t want this? I get having to do the wrap again but what do you mean yours look rock solid? Is there an alignment concern or is it purely the cost to re wrap etc? Ty!
