Good deal only if tax credit still exist to get a 2025 model. Love the truck too much.18% comparable depreciation after two years vs. a brand new model People should be thrilled! Try it with a $80K 2024 BMW 5-series.
She's right that lower sales/supply means higher relative value.
I agree, every time one of these articles is talked about it a "Foundation Edition". Well no shit sherlock... Yes you got the most expensive model plus every option they could throw at you. I thought this was outrageous when it happened but I figured these people knew what they were getting into. You are paying to get it first, that's it. Much to the demise of people like me still having their ass hurting knowing 'When' I finally get to my number in line and the $30K price increase if I want to bite the bullet and get it anyway. So no sympathy if you thought you were going to buy it and then dump it in a year, Here's your towel! If you didn't see what happened to every manufacturer who did this before Tesla; Hummer, Jeep, Ford, Chevy....need I go on. How Much is a First Edition Hummer Worth Today?? I bought mine because I wanted a Electric truck and believe The Cybertruck was going to fit the bill. My only regrets so far is the Price and No Rebate. In fact the Truck itself has exceeded my expectations! Thank you Tesla.Wish FS was not a thing as the idiots keep citing depreciation of 110k truck for 66k, derpy derp
Well also the perks received with FS wouldn’t typically carry over to secondary ownership.I agree, every time one of these articles is talked about it a "Foundation Edition". Well no shit sherlock... That's pretty low depreciation considering there is no FSD and it has core wheels and none of the Foundation Series upgrades.
Not sure if you know how depreciation works, but it is a quantitative measurement, not qualitative where you can value things how you want to value them.Wish FS was not a thing as the idiots keep citing depreciation of 110k truck for 66k, derpy derp
That’s a very good deal.
I know how depreciating assets work. Not sure if you know how depreciation works, but it is a quantitative measurement, not qualitative where you can value things how you want to value them.
The truck was a $100k truck, depreciation is based on this figure.
If you pay more for a paint color, heated seats, etc. in any vehicle, you don't remove those upgrades before calculating depreciation.
The real crazy thing is the depreciation of FSD. There's essentially no value to FSD.
I understand what extra features came with the Foundation AWD, and aside from FSD, non of the rest should be expect to have even a single dollar of extra value via dealer/wholesale trade in.I know how depreciating assets work.
The problem is the FS AWD depreciation is worse than nonFS AWD. 66k value for a used 79k is normal depreciation, better than 66k value for a 100k truck. People responding to this depreciation don’t understand what other assets FS purchasers received, and rightfully so as they don’t benefit the used market.
