Charger release not working

Lately, the release button on my charging plug won't allow it to release. I have to use the phone app get the charging cord to unlock?? Any thoughts or insights.

Does that specific plug/wand also have the problem with any other Tesla's?
Does the Cybertruck experience the unlocking problem at any other location?

That should help you narrow it down if it is the adapter/wall charger or the truck itself.

How long are you holding the button for?
What does the charge port light do?

I had this exact thing happen about a week ago. Had to use phone to open the port as nothing else opened the charge port.
When I went to fill out the service app, it already was expecting the service (b/c of the fault).

I scheduled it and it took them only like 30 minutes to replace it and now it works fine.

(The new Plano, Texas service center is very fast with hardly any waiting).

Just did a warranty replacement on my universal charger. Mine sits outside, and I noticed that the button sounded "squishy" after a light rain. The handle was stuck into the port, and nothing I tried would release it. Maybe there is an electrical safety lock that was triggered?

Either way, they shipped a drop in replacement and got me up and running again in a couple of days. Place a service ticket and work with them. Maybe there is a bad batch of handles out there that allow water ingress?
