I am seeing posts saying that the cybertruck uses about 450 Wh/mi at 75 mph. I'm curious what eficiency is at lower speeds like 55 mph. I have been getting ~320 Wh/mi doing gentle city driving averaging ~45 mph. Does anybody have a chart showing efficiency vs speed? I remember seeing one a while back for the Model S

See my thread: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...range-efficiency-via-motormatchup-data.10396/

Quick table: See "9) CT Range & Efficiency" in my sig.

@scottf200 Chart is very useful and seems close to my observations. However you should always see better results than those numbers because you need to stop eventually. It is wild much my efficiency improves once I hit that offramp. If the trip is 30 minutes or less I have seen the efficiency improve by 100 Wh/m in the most dramatic cases.

Indeed. Those were just some theoretical estimates but based on math/science from MotorMatchUp. They are great to show relative efficiency from one speed to another, etc.

I've been driving a Tesla Model X since 2016 and have done probably 100K in roadtrips. I complete follow you that the efficiency can vary a lot and if you do steady state on a highway it is more predictable.

I suspect at a speed around 60-65 mph (through still air) the air coming over the roof peak seperates, causing a steeper loss of efficiency than we see with the other models of Tesla. I too would like to know what this "breakpoint" speed is.

However, any efficiency charts sourced from fleet data is going to disguise that speed (smooth out the impact) due to the fact that fleet data does not account for headwinds, tailwinds and cross winds.

Thanks, good info there but you are calculating that based on cd right? Was hoping Tesla put out a chart like this one for the CT so you can see the efficiency throughout the speed range

Thx. 2 things:

1: at highway speeds those blue and green lines are virtually straight tho.
Compare to the two straight purple lines I drew.

2: The criteria is in that table. See purple boxes below. HTH
It includes Rolling Resistance using the criteria below.
