I follow almost every Tesla news and I am still confuse with my Cybertruck order. I pre-order the Cybertruck on Nov 22 2019 within 5 minutes of when they started (RN1127502XX) receiving orders. I got the invitation for the foundation but I am not spending that kind of money. I am interested in the All-WHEEL Drive $76K version.

If I go to the Tesla order it says that I can get the Cybertruck in 2025. So my question is, if anyone can get it on 2025, then what was the deal with the pre-order? Are we going to receive an alert to order the regular all wheel drive instead of the foundation? Any dates?

Thank you

That is not an order page but a reservation page, the same as was in Nov 2019. The 2025 delivery date listed there is simply an estimate. With your existing reservation if you wait, you can likely expect the ability to complete your order sometime in the first half of 2025.

The invitation to configure your reservation into an order will continue to add features as they come available. For instance, if you look now, grey interior and all-season tires are available but weren't before.

At some point the other models and pricing will begin to be available and then you'll be able to configure them and order. You'll still be one of the first allowed to order! Remember, the reservation was more of a demand survey so the company could know what investments to make.

I read somewhere that the Foundation Series was supposed to be limited (Maybe a 1000 trucks)? So after that they will have to sell the regular one?

BTW, Thanks to everyone that provided additional information

With the average male life expectancy of 76.1 years (2022) that is a smart move. Order the FS CT now and enjoy the hell out of it?

When u get ur invitation to order? U will also have to pay $1000 deposit. I made mine Wednesday. I'm 81, I'm not waiting on plain truck.
I ordered Thursday for the same reason. I’ll be 82 in a couple of weeks and don’t want to wait any longer. My wife’s not happy, but she would feel terrible if I never got one.

For all, just don't sell your other wheels, the early CTs are still quite experimental...

Good for you! I'm 77 and hope to get a CT before I meet the maker.
I am 71, and when I catch heat over my excitement for our pending Cyberbeast, I simply shrug and say, "Every old man needs a 4-wheel drive pickup that goes from 0 to 60 in 2.6 seconds when you're outrunning the Grim Reaper. Go out in style, baby!"

We are already well beyond 1000 trucks. No one really knows how many there will be. However, if they decide to run Foundation Series based as a percentage of overall pre-orders, it could be a while.
