I bought and installed the cross bars on my CB I know they will come in handy someday.
But I just like how they look.
has anyone found some compatible hardware for mounting things to them like
Bikes, kayaks, aero storage bins, tools ladders, pipes, lumber,
I don't know maybe it has standard mounting points
so that any bike rack hardware will work?
anyone have ideas?

Yes, I am 5k deep with my attachments. I am running 5 different pelican cases, Inno rod box, Yakima QD PD Hauler, Yakima EXO system with QD mounts. I will try and post a few pics over next few days. I ran into the issue of “cool” cross bars, but no attachments.

I put on two sets and they look nice but I don’t like the open area after you slide them open to fit. There is no rubber padding in this center area — which is dumb. Why not have an insert that can be cut to fit to cover this area at any of the four mounting locations.
And how does a rooftop box mount to these bars?I could tie them on with straps I suppose -
Or a bike reck

You can use QD ratchet mounts, also check out FrontRunner and they have feet that can be used with other systems. I know eventually Tesla will have a full line of accessories teamed up with another big box name, etc. Anything pelican and or Front Runner will hold the test of time I prefer the QD ratchet systems because doesn't scratch up and it's easy to deploy on and off.

My current rack setup. The spare is currently in the bed and the rack is in the garage since I have been street parking in CHI-Raq lately.

1-1/2 box steal.. 1-1/4 stainless tube, fill with spray foam to take out harmonic hum from wind, drill and install eye rings or what ever you want. With this material you can configure your own.

It did cross my mind to make a custom set of cross bars. but I still had most of the $2500 credit that came with the options package I bought for $20,000 and you get 1 year to spend it. I think I got taken for a ride on that deal but oh well not going to cry about spilled milk. maybe just a little bit because I don't see where all that value went. I know it's an old topic, but it bugs me every time I think about it. I see the rubber mats $295, center council tray $40 bottle opener $25, the elusive light bar $?? and the $2500 credit but that's it i can't think of anything else I got in that package? oh the under-bed cargo dividers $45 Thats $2905+ light bar and that thing better be made out of gold maybe that's why it's taking so long to mine all that gold. $17,095 for a light bar and I have no idea when I'll get it. oh, wait I got lifetime connectivity its actually 8 yrs and FSD anyone know the value of these 2 must be $8000 each?

I cycle a lot so I bought a Thule TopRide rack and an accompanying front wheel holder. I plan on buying the Tesla branded load bars but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, still looking at some other options but I’m 90% going to go with teslas. Anyone know who manufactures it? Anyway I’ll upload pics once it’s done.
