Same. I was literally in this situation last year. Sold our house and moved. Had the money to pay for a CT in cash but put it on a down payment instead on another house.

Honestly that’s such a real dilemma these days. I probably would’ve made the same call. Having the house locked in feels way more stable long-term than dropping it all on a CT, even if it’s tempting.

When we were house hunting I even used NeighborWho to look up areas and get a better feel for neighborhoods before deciding, so I get how much thought goes into that kind of move. In the end, real estate just feels like the safer bet most of the time.
