At least he’s not waiting with bated breath. Otherwise you might be the one to shorten the line.

Have you seen the girls at the monster truck or mudding meets? I’d certainly say that trucks are a sex symbol to a certain crowd. It may not be your desired crowd if you’ve been dreaming of a Lamborghini all your life though.

Quitting Tesla and the rat race as a whole. I'm already 6 months passed my time frame, but idk if I can do another delay. Worst is I'd just wait like everyone else, lol

The road calls to me, I must answer.
Just watch. @nomadmusk is Elon’s alter ego. As soon as he gets his CT Plaid, he’s going to ride off into the sunset waiting for the day he can load up his CT and move to Mars.

Honestly I've never had to wait for anything so long in my entire life; it's been hard I'm sure for all of us. First world country problems I know (especially given what's going on right now), but we're all hanging in there, and that makes us awesome (y)

Test Run
CT needs lots and lots of LFP battery cells. Tesla test run of in-house LFP battery cells. was only Million and even if they did get their expected 100 Million Tesla would still need Billions of battery cells.
LFP
Tesla do not have LFP battery cells for the Y or CT. Y LFP battery cells are first then comes CT LFP battery cells. Tesla LFP in-house test run showed Tesla needs Panasonic to provide those Billions of LFP battery cells it needs to make EVs. Tesla Panasonic has plans for a LFP battery cell factory and that cost of a new factory will add to the cost of EV battery but that new Panasonic factory when built will not start LFP battery cell production until late 2025.
C$ Delivery
My Guess the CT
Available 2026
Price for the first few pre orders will be:
$95,000 single
$110,000 dual
and
Tri similar price to a S Plaid

Mainly due to no or very little in-house built LFP cells and Panasonic LFP cells costs.

There's a rumor Panasonic will build a large new battery factory in the US (cleantechnica.com)
I don't think there is anything you said there that is correct. Do you even know what an LFP cell is? There will not be any CTs with LFP cells and it has always been thus.

Tesla needs 4680 cells for the Cybertruck. I think this is what you were thinking of?

Model Ys are rolling off the lines with 4680 cells in Austin seemingly faster and faster as we speak. They are ramping up production of the 4680 line in Fremont rather quickly and the Austin one is coming on line likely next quarter. Tesla management suggested they would be operating at 100 GWh capacity by year end.

LFP is the type of cell used for short range Teslas like the Model 3 SR. They are unlikely to get used on teh Cybertruck because they are very heavy. There is no chance they will use LFP for the larger packs, it would be entirely too heavy.

Most work truck drivers would be ok without all wheel steering I suspect.
True. But Tesla loves to find ways to make things cheaper by making them non-optional.

Mostly they're very bulky.

If the top of the line Cybertruck is indeed a double-layer pack, it would make sense to make the bottom tier out of LFPs that took the same space.

Unfortunately, Elon said they have no plans to make LFP 4680s at this point in time. It would add complexity when they do not need it.
