I don't foresee Tesla entering the low end market. The low end market will improve to the point that Tesla has to lower their prices to maintain a premium but Tesla will want to maintain the premium designation.Trillion dollar question! Probably. Not.
By 2050 BEV should be a solved problem. It’s really how well opportunity blesses Tesla other ventures in Energy, Automation and Robotics. TSLA is well positioned to disrupt those three industries as it has automotive.
TSLA investors should double wealth at every disruption. a 6X minimum compound ROI for the long term holds. At the end of the Tesla era, selling cheap battery cars is not the lasting impression that people will be left holding.
The CT1 by any current standard (less range)would not be a cheap or crappy vehicle. It is a RWD version positioned $10k below the AWD. Many people in the south or plains don't need AWD and would just assume save $10k. (I do hope TSLA offers bigger battery pack options for CT1)
