If quad is sold first, the first 150,000 reservation holders should hold out for the build you originally selected. Reject (insert motivational buzzword)
What if they ordered a Single Motor variant, which is rumored to be dead?
Ditto the Tri-Motor. It was hinted that it would be Quad first, and then sometime down the road a Dual-Motor.

It doesn't matter I suppose until we actually see customers starting to take delivery, which will probably be 2024.

I am just trying any unethical approach to get mine first. My true hope is the order process meets everyone’s expectations and goes smoothly.

Nothing but love, but... your name is right there already. Just amusing. ;) Sorry, I am just to eager for next Friday's announcement :)
Yes, but it's not in the message. And I can't trust that the .signatures are displayed. It's also unreliable with screen readers. So I sign, like it's still 1994.

They can load 500 truck into a train going to Oregon just as fas as anywhere else.
It would probably be even faster if they said “If you’re willing to pick up your truck at the factory you can order now…”

What a cool idea, picking up the truck at the factory. I’m surprised no one had brought that idea up on this forum yet.

:)

I tweeted to Elon about that sometime last year. Pick you your truck in Austin. Take a tour and then drive home.

The tweet didnt go anywhere.

If this happens people with tri motor reservations will get first right of refusal to upgrade.
yes a Tri-motor was the initial first pick, I expect that when my number comes up, I'll be asked about Quad.

If Tesla starts off only selling the Quad motor for the first year or so, what is your best guess for price.

$85,000 would be reasonable in my eyes. The fantasy price of $69,000 for the Tri-Motor is dead. That was a projection from back in 2019. Inflation is on a tear. Plus the Quad is going be at least $10,000 more than the Tri-Motor.
probably between $75k and $80k......its just hard to say.....but hoping nothing changes......always the optimist

They started deliveries at Gigaberlin before the showroom there was finished.

By the time Cybertruck comes out, that should be set up in Austin...

Hmm. I wonder how many deliveries they could handle at the factory per week.

I have to think they could save some money on logistics if they did that. No fuel costs, no professional drivers.

Huge self-promotion from seeing a parade of Cybertrucks marching across the country week after week. Convoys of Cybertrucks from coast to coast every Friday afternoon. LOL

Yes, my faithful Cybertruck fans, the CT has been upgraded to the Octomotor with wheelie bar, and will be able to withstand a 20mm artillery round, do not despair. 2055 is the year! With our new factory in the now-melted Antartica, it's for sure going to happen! (We got permission from still-delusional Russia). Of course, the last 3 surviving members of the the first 10 million Cybertruck Owners Club reservation holders will still have their original price honored. The rest of you slobs will have to pay the updated, bloated, inflationary price of 22 million dollars. Thank you for your patience.

Yeah - I never thought the delivery area would be a huge deal. I am a bit out of touch on the rail shipping of cars. I don't see it much. Maybe they are covered. IDK.

They will do full trucks for sure, but I don't think finding 9 Tesla vehicles for a particular drop point will be that difficult. We are all paying another $1500?? destination on top of list anyway, Apparently even if we pick up in Austin. :(.

Yes, Quad motor buyers will come from Tri-Motor buyers. Especially if they announce they will no longer make the Tri-Motor. Which is quite possible.

I also think there is zero chance they ever make a single motor version. But that is just a guess.

Note, the price of the Quad motor can be anything Tesla wants to make it...since it is technically a "new model". Based on what Rivian is charging and what Hummer is charging, I think the Quad will certainly be above $85,000. Maybe $95,000?
If there is a Plaid above the quad and they drop the trimotor the quad 4ws will be around $80k.

There is a rail corridor that parallels the highway I take to a lot of my rides and I see them all the time. From the sides they look like cattle cars.

They also make some open sided ones.
