Tesla dropped the lease from $749 to $699 For a limited time only (a 7% drop). I think we all saw this coming now that the $7500 tax rebate is history.

Will lowering a lease payment $50 a month be enough to sway potential CT buyers off the fence? We will see. I’m sure this offer will extend into November as well.

I’m curious what the projected residual value is in 2028, 3-years from now.

Good catch.

However the main page literally says "Prices Increase in November" so is that back to the $749, or does luxe goes onto AWD and bring it somewhat closer to Cyberbeast...

If you select "Edit Leasing" and scroll down, there is an option to purchase a leased AWD after 3 years for $57,390 (plus taxes and fees). For the Cyberbeast, It's $71,361 (plus taxes and fees).

I think they're testing the waters. Nobody really knows yet what the new, post-tax-credit EV sales landscape is going to look like. A short-term offer like this one is a low-risk way to experiment. Maybe it gets extended, maybe not. Might see other experimental short-term incentives come and go this quarter.

Thanks for posting!

The CyberBeast lease residual value really takes a bath going from $115k to $71k in 3-years. That‘s roughly a $44k drop in value compared to roughly $22k for the AWD version.

I hope they drop that Luxe Package soon so I can finally get a Beast...but no way I am paying for the Luxe package :/ At the current prices, the Cyberbeast makes 0 financial sense.

The difference in residual value is ~$14k, between the two models, and given the hardware price difference of $20k, not including the premium package, implies that the residual value they're using is 70%!!! Seems high.

If you look at the $57,390 and compare that to $80k, that implies a RV of 71.5%, so it has to be in that range. That's as high as it gets for any vehicle after 3yrs.

I don't think the Luxe Pkg is included when thinking about residual values. In my calculation, they use a ~70% RV on the vehicle's price of $100k. to get to a buyout price of $71,361. 70% also works for the AWD.

My bet is that they finally throw in the hat on the CT and come to terms that it is a low volume vehicle and make the luxe package mandatory pricing the S, X and CT as the top line products and the 3, Y as the volume leaders.

What caught my eye, other than the RV seems to be 70% is this $6500 lease credit. Is that a Cap Cost Reduction?

That would raise an interesting question.

If Tesla makes the Luxe Package mandatory on AWDs, do they add $10,000 to the price -- like they did with the S and X-- and raise the AWD starting price to $89,990 ?

Or do they add $15,000 to the price -- like they did with the Cyberbeast -- and raise the AWD starting price to $94,990 ?

Don't know why the Cyberbeast Luxe Package is $5,000 more that the S or X Luxe Package. Maybe Windshield Protection costs a lot more on Cyberbeasts ? Cyberbeasts consume more energy during free Supercharging sessions ?

I second that. (If history’s any guide.)
