Did you ceramic coat it or anything. I live in Texas (south). Just curious if I need to try that.

Well my detailer was supposed to ceramic coat everything that wasn’t stainless steel, but I honestly don’t know if he did. I’m inclined to say no. So, I would do that for sure as a prophylactic but I don’t know if it’s going to work.

As luck would have it, I installed the Hansshow light bar this Sunday - yes less than 24 hours before Tesla made the OEM light bar available for purchase. I had clutched my $2,500 Powershare voucher for a full year (less one day) hoping to buy the OEM light bar but no luck - and that was already over a year ago.

If you want to see the difference between the low beams and the low beams with the Hansshow off-road light bar here you go, it's quite profound. Hansshow uses 50 five-watt LED's and they light it up!

I have two 2026 beasts and bought 2 OEM lightbars on ebay. (about $1400 each new) - The new lightbars have a pig tail already setup and the trucks have the matching pigtail. Mounted the bars with 3M VHB and plugged them both in. Simple 30 minute install. I chose not to buy the brackets as they require drilling into the roof. The VHB tape is mechanically equivalent when installed correctly - these trucks go through the corner car was each once a week. No issues.

The light bar is not crazy bright like some others, but the styling and the integration into the operating system are worth it and its nice they have lots of control (choose brightness, which lights are on, etc) - Lastly they do work with compatible light shows as well (the assault one uses the light bars)

I’m working one more angle to source the brackets. If that fails, I’m using VHB and will call it good. I’ve also got the V3, so no soldering.

ETA: I just did the math, and I’ll be about $700 under what Telsa charges for the LB+install.

Well....

....unless there is a $49K one wheel drive Cybertruck with leaf springs and a 70kwh battery which is eligible to purchase a light bar. Then we'll have to talk again.

It can be turned on anytime, in any drive mode or parked, and from two different menus - EZPZ

Yes, you can turn it on at any time, you can drive with the bar on at 70+ miles an hour. I put mine at 1 or 2% so I don't blind the peasants that are driving cheap cars

As mentiomed by @speed stuff yes; my only regret is that there is no toggle or ability to activate from the squircle.

Yes, in one of the forums here where owners post of what they would like to see in their cars, I posted about adding the option to turn on/off the lightbar with the left scroll wheel.
