Just picked up our Cyberbeast yesterday! No issues during delivery. This thing is crazy.

My info is already in the spreadsheet, but to recap:

- Preordered during the unveal, 11/21/2019, RN 11275
- Received invite to configure on 12/08/2023, during the first wave. I live in AZ, but used to live in CA back in 2019. Not sure if that's the reason I got the invite on the first wave instead of a week later when they opened it up to AZ.
- Configured 12/08/2023
- Received VIN 04/04/2024
- Reached out and received text on 04/05/2024 stating the truck was on its way, tentative delivery 04/10/2024
- Received call on Saturday 04/06/2024 stating they had received their truck at the SC and that they could schedule delivery as early as Monday 04/08/2024
- Picked up on 04/08/2024

The truck came with a mobile charger, some floor mats, all-weather mats, and a sunshade. No hubcaps. The rest of the accessories to be delivered later.

Thank you!

I did the initial reservation on 11/22/2019 when I lived in MN and watched over the years not thinking I was toward the relative top of the reservations. We moved to Florida in 2021 and definitely didn’t update Tesla we moved so I been confused as to how this all worked out the way it did.

End of December 2023, I got that email to configure it. So I downloaded the app, got the VIN a few weeks later and then a sales rep called me on March 16th to tell me it reached their Pensacola store on the 15th.

I took delivery on the 18th. It was in disgusting condition. No one would even acknowledge it. Scratched all over and just an unacceptable amount of those rust spots. One employee told me that they aren’t “set-up” to clean cars. Dumbest thing I’d heard in awhile.

Eventually a really helpful Tesla employee approached me and said it was his first day at that store (got sent up from Orlando store to help Pensacola bc they’re getting swamped). He wasn’t involved in my delivery at all but took it upon himself to call his manager back in Orlando and told his manager how he saw me getting treated and how bad of shape the CT was.

That Orlando manager approved a full detail reimbursement from any detailer I chose if I still wanted to take delivery. So I accepted that and it’s now been detailed and I’ve been reimbursed. So, it all worked out but pretty deflating experience and put a bad taste in my mouth.

Full disclosure, I’d never driven a Tesla before. I made that $100 reservation in 2019 as a joke so I could print out the confirmation and hang it on the cabinet in my office to tell my co-workers I ordered “that new Tesla truck they’re trying to create!”

Finally! I took delivery of a shiny new Dual Motor Cybertruck yesterday afternoon! I'm a non-employee, a nobody to Tesla. Although I did register with their early delivery program for long-term shareholders, my VIN showed up right after, I think it was only two days later, so I'm pretty sure being a shareholder didn't expedite my VIN or delivery, it was just a coincidence that my VIN came right after I registered.

The wait was worth it, the truck looks and drives great. My wife and I took it out to dinner last night in a small town. She asked me where I wanted to eat, I told her somewhere we could park it on the street and observe the activity from our table. From previous reports, I knew people would find it interesting, but I was unprepared for the ratio of people who just looked at it and continued walking by and those who stopped and checked it out, pulled out their cameras, walked all the way around it, peered in the windows, etc. I estimate only 20% walked by it without giving it more than a look.

The delivery went pretty smoothly, they said they keep imminent Cybertruck deliveries in back, out of public view, otherwise they get swarmed with people checking it out and fingerprints of the freshly prepped vehicle. The Delivery Specialist pulled it into the lane right outside the showroom, we checked it over for 5 minutes, it looked great so we went inside the wall of glass to finalize. The Cybertruck was only 8 feet away, in full view through the wall of glass. As we were about 2 minutes into it, I noticed a guy had opened the back door and was doing something in the back seat. I asked my delivery guy if that was a Tesla employee (he looked too ragged and unkempt for that) and he said, "No, let me take care of this" and he went out and shooed him off. The guy looked very startled. I have no idea what he was doing leaning halfway into the backseat.

I haven't owned it for more than 24 hours yet, but here's the weird thing, I've watched probably 100+ photos get taken of it so far, by complete strangers, but I haven't taken a single pic of the entire truck yet, only this for some reason:

I can already see little specs of rust already forming where rust is expected to happen, oh, no! LOL!

I'm super stoked and have a lot to do, so the rest will have to wait!

For those who are still waiting, know that it's just a matter of time until your number comes up! Don't despair, no one is plotting against you (yes, I would have crazy flashes like that), but it's just that supply is still much smaller than demand. We are still in the very early days no matter how long it feels like you've been waiting.

Well, at least the dude at the SC didn't have a door handle that he could lick to "claim" the truck (like that VW commercial). Congrats and enjoy!
